What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this cream for its effective urea content, which hydrates while gently exfoliating dead skin, making it especially valuable for mature or very dry areas. The formula is lauded for quick absorption, lightweight feel despite being a cream, and affordability. One reviewer notes it contains fragrance despite being labeled fragrance-free, which may concern sensitive skin users. Consensus is strong that applying to damp skin maximizes hydration benefits.

"One of my favorite body moisturizers because it comes in a nice jar, a little goes a long way. Urea is a nice humectant that draws in water, but also is a keratolytic that will peel away dead skin and exfoliate gently dead skin. So, if you have dry, thickened elbows or knees, feet, hands, you can go ahead and use this Advanced Repair Cream on those areas, and the urea will really come to the rescue and make your skin nice and soft. And if you apply it within 2 minutes after getting out of the shower, when your skin's slightly damp, it's going to work so well and just trap in all of that moisture."

"Eucerin's Advanced Repair formula is really good to have lots of urea which is a natural moisturizing factor found in your skin that helps hydrate by bringing in water and it's a humectant so like hyaluronic acid draws in water but it's also catalytic it breaks up and peels away dead skin gently so I like Eucerin a lot for that purpose."

"Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream is one of my favorite body moisturizers out there. That's an awesome one with urea, higher concentrations of urea, which is a humectant that draws in water, but also exfoliates dead skin as well. So great for just overall body, but focusing on elbows and knees where you have thicker skin. And you can bring it down to your feet and also to your hands."

"Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream is one of my favorite body moisturizers. It has a little bit of urea and ceramide. I just love the texture, it's not a lotion, it's thicker, it's a cream, so it locks in moisture that you got from the shower. Apply it to damp skin at bedtime."

"The Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream is a nice one with urea. Urea is a humectant that draws in water and it also is exfoliating. So it helps turn over dead skin."

"If your skin is extra dry and you just don't feel like after you apply this moisturizer on it's enough, consider applying a coat of occlusive on top. These are things like Vaseline, Aquaphor, or Eucerin Healing Ointment, and Aquaphor even comes in a spray bottle that you can put directly on top of that cream to provide extra protection. It's sealing in that moisture and preventing epidermal water loss."

"It's great for mature skin for improving the look of sun damage on like the chest, the arms, the legs. It's very hydrating. You can use it on the face, however, if you're using a retinol on your face already or a prescription retinoid, I don't recommend double dipping, but it's amazing. Itch becomes a lot more common once you are over the age of 40. Menthol can help distract the little itch nerves and help to soothe that sensation. Itch tends to get much worse at night, so another pro tip is with something like this, put it in your refrigerator and apply it to the skin. It'll really silence that itch. It does have fragrance, which is a common allergen, however, it has mineral oil, petrolatum, glycerin, lanoline. It also has panthenol, a humectant that is anti-inflammatory."

"Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream is a fragrance-free lightweight moisturizer that absorbs really quickly without leaving that sticky residue where some of the creams can feel. Ingredient-wise it contains urea, lactic acid, ceramides, and glycerin, so wonderful ingredients that help to keep the skin hydrated. Urea and lactic acid also really helps to exfoliate gently, so great for dry, flaky skin and those that are prone to keratosis pilaris, that chicken skin that we often see in association with dry skin and eczema. I personally love using it during the summer time because of the lightweight, fast-absorbing texture."

"For the body you can add in something like the Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream. This is super nice, super friendly, budget friendly, and it also has natural moisturizing factors and ceramides which would play exactly how you would want with maturing skin."
