What the gurus are saying

This hybrid sunscreen rubs in seamlessly with no white cast, making it a low-maintenance choice for dry skin and anyone seeking zinc protection without the typical chalky finish. Gurus praise its hydrating formula and generous four-ounce size, noting it applies so smoothly it feels more moisturizer than sunscreen, though it remains understated despite deserving wider recognition.

"This is from EltaMD, which doctors and derms always recommend. It has this airless pump and this is basically a UV lotion broad spectrum 30 full body sunscreen. And does it sunscreen? Yes it does, and it does the sunscreening very very well. Now this is great, and for the size of 7 ounces, it is definitely a winner, even at like the 43 to 45 bucks that this entire tub is. Again, you can get it on sale for like 40 something, and I think that regularly it's like 45 or 50."

"One of my favorite sunscreens to use during my pregnancy was the EltaMD UV Facial Sunscreen. This is an SPF 30 sunscreen and it's actually a hybrid so it had a mineral or inorganic filter zinc oxide as well as a chemical or organic filter octinoxate. It's a very hydrating and moisturizing formula which I really craved during my pregnancy because my skin was extra dry, so I just really enjoyed putting it on. It went on so well, there was no white cast, it didn't take a lot of effort for me to rub in, so it was kind of like the perfect low maintenance sunscreen for me to use and I felt very confident using it during my pregnancy even though it had a chemical filter."

"This sunscreen holds a very special place in my heart because I think it is the first sunscreen that I could ever get my mother-in-law to wear. She gave me such awesome feedback about this one that I have since used many, many jars of it. The fact that it's four ounces is amazing because you can use this product a lot and be very generous with it. This is a hybrid sunscreen, meaning that it has both chemical or organic UV filters as well as zinc as the UV filters. I find that these hybrid sunscreens are excellent for people who want to use zinc in their products but feel like a lot of zinc exclusive products leave them too white on their skin. You can see it rubs in super well, and it just gives this beautiful glowy look to the skin. It feels so moisturizing and hydrating, so if you're a dry skin gal like me, I think you will love this. EltaMD makes so many good sunscreens, but I feel like this one just doesn't get talked about that much and it deserves more hype."
