What the gurus are saying

Gurus praised this spray for its fine mist and hydrating quality, calling it more of a skincare-like mist than a heavy setting spray. The formula grips makeup in place while adding bounce and glow to the skin, and those with both dry and oily skin found it balanced well. One tip that came up: pressing the spray in with a sponge after application helps it sink into the skin and stay put. Note that the formula may separate slightly, so a quick shake before use is needed.

"I'm adding a little bit of the e.l.f. setting spray to just kind of rehydrate, which really, it's one of my favorite tips for making your makeup like sink into the skin and stay put."

"For setting spray I really personally love and got a lot of use out of the Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray from e.l.f. I actually traveled with this quite a bit. I really love the mist on it, I feel like that's why I gravitated towards it so much, but also I feel like it adds a beautiful finish to the skin. I feel like it does help with the longevity of my makeup. It's just really good. e.l.f. really nailed it with this one as well."

"I love how fine the mist is on the setting spray. Once that kind of sinks into the skin, I like to press it in with my sponge."
YOU Told Me To Try This Makeup...
"The e.l.f. Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray has a little bit of separation, so you're supposed to shake it up before you apply it. It's a by-face setting spray with aloe and hyaluronic acid and it's supposed to grip the makeup onto the skin and be dewy. The mist on this is perfection, it's so beautiful and so fine you can barely see it. It does seem to have added a little bit more glow to the skin."

"Two of my favorites are the e.l.f. Power Grip Dewy setting spray. The reason I really like these is because they are like setting sprays, but they're more a hydrating mist. They are more skin care-like. So it's not a setting spray like a full, intense theatrical setting spray where your face is going to feel like it has a layer or something solid on it. They are more hydrating to the skin. If my face is feeling a little bit dry, a little bit dehydrated, and I'm also a bit oily, a spray like this is going to give you like a bounciness to your skin. The reason I love this one is because it gives you a similar result to a hyaluronic acid setting spray."

"The e.l.f Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray is incredible. This is a setting spray, and it hydrates also. The hydration in this is the main thing I want to go for. It has aloe in it, which is super, super hydrating. And for you oily people, it's not over hydrating. This is going to help grip onto your makeup. It's going to stop oils from coming through the skin, because that's where they come from. And it just has a beautiful glow. The glow from this. Stunning."
