I used them that time with no eyelid primer just to see how they would wear. I feel like they wear slightly better with primer than without, but you don't 100 percent need primer for them to wear. "I tried two other brands of eyeshadow sticks this year. The IT Cosmetics Superhero No Tug Shadow Sticks and the Elf No Smudge Shadow Sticks. These are both fantastic. I love them. I have three of the Elf. They come in shimmers and mattes and the price point on these is fantastic. These are the ones that I use probably most of the summer when you just want to not be a slave to your makeup and want to do really super casual. I would just do a little bit on the eyelid, this in the outer corner, use this as my under eyeliner, and it would last all day. They last all day. They didn't irritate my eyelids."

"These are just amazing. I love them. I have them in Magnetic Pull and Rose Gold. They're just beautiful and they're beautiful together and they lasted all day. I brought these on the trip along with my little MAC single in Malt and that was like my eyeshadow look for the day, like my daytime look every day. These ever stayed in place. I could swim in them and sweat in them and do anything in them and they just didn't budge. I like Magnetic Pull so much as an eyeliner on my lower lid. These are really great long-lasting inexpensive eyeshadow sticks."
