What the gurus are saying

The gurus who reviewed it consistently praise how sheer and finely milled it is, making it especially effective for setting under-eye concealer without looking heavy or creepy on lined areas. A fine pearl runs through it that adds gentle brightening without chunkiness, though the glow means those with larger pores or an oily T-zone may want to reserve it for the face's outer areas rather than everywhere. The application method matters: tapping the brush repeatedly into the cap before pressing it on skin helps control how much product lands and prevents overdoing it.

"Oh my god, I forgot how much I liked this powder. It has such a nice luminosity to it. It's smoothing, but it has that fine pearl, so it doesn't look heavy on the skin. It gives this slight reflect."

Super dry, post treatment skin that is sooo rude to your makeup
"I would probably just use the prism powder to set or maybe a little bit of my ELF Halo Glow so that it didn't look so matte in that area compared to the rest of my forehead."

"For an under eye setting powder I like the Elf Halo Glow. The reason for this is because it's very sheer. It also has a fine pearl in it so it's luminous. I have a lot of lines and creases underneath my eyes, so if I go in with a really heavy powder it's just going to end up looking crepey. With this one, I pick up a decent amount of the powder, tap it off into the cap, pick it back up, tap it off, pick it back up, tap it off, so that I'm really loading up the brush with the product but I'm evenly distributing it throughout the brush bristles."
How to get Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Soft Baddie’ makeup look
"The powder that I do use is the Elf Halo Glow Powder. What I like about this powder is it's the only one that I've used that is not super heavy or dense with pearl, but it does have a little bit of pearl. It has like a very, very fine sheer pearl in it, and when I say pearl, what I mean is it's got a little bit of shimmer, a little bit of reflect, but it's so incredibly fine that it doesn't end up looking chunky or creating a heavy formula on the skin. I've used other powders that have pearl and either there isn't enough brightening or they're too matte, or the pearl is too heavy. This has just been the best thing for underneath my eyes. It's mostly a brightening powder for me, which I want for my under eyes. If I use this everywhere on my face, it just ends up looking a little too bright and it can look a little bit too shiny, which I just don't want, but it's fantastic for under the eyes."

"I'm going to set my under eyes with the ELF Halo Glow powder and then I'm going to go in with the shimmer. The difference with this powder application rather than applying just in the T-Zone, I'm gonna focus it in the T-Zone but then I'm going to gently bring it all around the face. In my other videos I kind of like padded just so that it wasn't like super matte in one area and also I want to make sure that I'm setting essentially the whole face, especially when I'm trying to make my makeup look like skin. I just don't really like using a ton of powder but today I'm applying just like a teeny bit more so not like dousing my face in powder."
Yummmy, latte makeup but make it drugstore
"I'm going to set my under eyes using my elf Halo glow powder like always. I'm going to use the elf highlighting brush. I just want to make sure that I'm well blended, no creases. I'm just gonna go in with a tiny bit of this to make sure that area stays put. I'm going to take a tiny bit of that powder and I'm just going to use that to set my lids, just kind of like buff over that eye primer because I can feel a little bit too much moisture and I want to be able to blend easily."
Pool party friendly makeup, no foundation 🙌🏻
"I'm gonna go in with the Elf Halo glow powder just like the tiniest amount underneath my eyes just to kind of set that concealer. There was a little bit of shine that I wanted to take away."

"For my setting powder I have been using the elf Halo Glow Powder for I don't know how long, it's really great. It has a beautiful fine reflect so it doesn't make your under eyes look super dry. You don't need a ton of it. I like to pick up my powder, tap it off into the cap, pick it up, tap it off so I have a nice even blend so that I'm not going in with too much powder all over the place."

"To set my under eyes I'm going to use my ELF Halo Glow Powder in the lightest shade. I'm pretty happy with that coverage. There might be like the slightest gray tone that you can see but I slept like sh last night so you know products have to work over time for me right now."

"I'm using Elf Halo Glow Powder to set underneath my eyes. It is so good, like it is just nice and brightening. They have a bunch of different colors for different skin tones. It has like a very fine pearl in it so it can brighten without making your under eyes look super dry."
Make your makeup look like skin! *DRUGSTORE EDITION*
"I'm going to use my e.l.f. Halo Glow which is my absolute favorite under eye setting powder in the entire world. I'm picking up the powder, tapping it off into the cap, picking it up, tapping it off a few times to make sure that my brush is evenly coated but that I'm not going in with way too much powder. I press this gently in tiny little amounts just to make sure that this area is nice and set, no longer shiny. I haven't gotten any creasing truthfully."

"This is Halo Glow Powder, which again is a fave. I really love to use it to set my under eye and smooth it out. This powder is so good at blurring the areas, and I went in with a little bit of that brightening in the areas that I highlighted."

"If you're at a point where you're just getting older and you're feeling like you can't set your under eyes with powder the way you used to, the Elf Halo Glow Powder is so good. I highly recommend switching to it. They have a bunch of different colors for different skin tones. It has pearl, like a really fine pearl in it, so it creates like a luminosity, and it's finely milled so you can set your under eyes and it won't move around but it will not make your under eyes look creepy. It's been such a game changer for me."

"The ELF Halo Glow Powder is pretty glowy, so if you don't want as much glow as it's offering you can always mix it in with your more matte powder and kind of control the glow there. The ELF Halo Glow Powder is really excellent at setting your face but still leaving that glow. If you're somebody that feels like you want to set your skin but you don't want to mattify things, I feel like that's a great product. It's not glittery either, it just gives a really nice soft glow. I personally try to avoid the T-Zone with that powder, but I love applying it on the outsides of the face."

"I really do like this kind of cushiony feel that this has. Applying it with my fingertips is actually really really nice, it kind of has that putty feel to it. I always forget and then I remind myself every time I use the e.l.f. Halo Glow Setting Powder that I can't put it around this area here where I have larger pores, it just emphasizes them. That said, I love it on all the other areas of my face."
