What the gurus are saying

Experts who tested it found the device delivers salon-quality straight results in minutes, particularly for those who struggle with traditional blow-drying and straightening. The air-based design gentles the hair compared to flat irons, and the keratin-infused ceramic coating appears to protect strands rather than damage them, which means the results feel healthier over time. The main trade-off is the steep price tag and a bulky plug that poses challenges for travel, but those who commit find the time savings and lasting style worth every penny.

"It is the Dyson Air Straight. It is a wet to dry straightener and the results are incredible. I am styling impaired and simply cannot get this super smooth, super straight style with just a hair dryer and a hairbrush. But this device changed everything. I start with wet hair and two passes through this and this is what it looks like. If this thing dies, I buy a new one tomorrow. I don't care how much it costs. My hair would look like crap without it."

🤯 Skincare, Hair & Makeup That SHOCKED Me
"This is insanely expensive and worth every freaking penny. I have never been able to blow dry my hair totally straight with just a dryer and a brush. I have no skills. So I always have to blow dry it first and then straighten it after. It's not good for our hair. But this guy dries and straightens at the same time. It is effortless and it's as close to perfect as I'm going to get without professional assistance, and it uses more air and less heat, which means it should be better for our hair. I had a previous GHD version and I killed it with overuse, but this Dyson has completely stolen my heart. This is worth every freaking penny. This is my wash day essential. My hair looks fantastic, and the style lasts even longer. Day two hair is just as good as day one hair. If I could marry one consumer product, this would be it. A word of warning: this is not dual voltage. So mine only works in Europe, which means when I go back to the US, my hair looks like crap."

"Eyewateringly expensive. And the very first day I tried it it was pure love. Now there are downsides aside from the price. Like one of them is like the sheer size of this plug. I mean look at this thing. It's ridiculously huge. But as far as I'm concerned it's nothing compared to the results I get. I mean this is a serious serious piece of kit. And look what it does. I mean I did my hair this morning and it's just incredible. If this dies tomorrow I'm buying another one. I'm just letting everybody know that right now. I'm warning Carrie now I am never going to be without this Dyson again. Even though it's got the biggest plug I ever did see. I haven't traveled with this yet and that could end up being challenging but we'll see."

"None of the Dyson air wrap, air straight, flat irons, none of them work well for me or well enough. I generally don't like flat irons that much because they just seem to crush a clump of hair down, making it really flat, but the straightness is still there. This, on the other hand, is just the closest at mimicking getting my hair blown out with a boar bristle brush, except it takes minutes to do. It's super fast. This design is patented. As you brush it through, it reaches like almost every single strand of your hair, just smoothing it out completely. So you get a very high polished look and you get that without extreme pulling and tugging your hair, which is another big plus for me. This has what they call a tea glow ceramic coating, which is a keratin infused ceramic coating, which means it's supposed to protect your hair and strengthen the strands as you pass it through. I mean, I don't know, but I do know that my hair looks a lot healthier after I use it. I can also confirm this completely eliminates frizz. I can't overstate how fast this works. Two passes with each section is enough."

"I am loving it. I was not sure if I would love it as much as or if I would get as much use out of it as I have my Dyson air wrap and by golly I really really love this thing. It's basically like the Dyson air wrap but it blow dries your hair straight. I've figured out that when my hair is straight it's way less prone to tangles and my hair gets tangled so easily so I have been loving this. I like it because it's also similar to the air wrap in the sense that because it's using air instead of actual hot plates I feel like my hair straightens really well but it's never ever ever felt like it's drying it out or damaging my hair so that's a plus as well. You can actually keep it closed and blow dry your roots and then you take your hair as it's still damp and you just go section by section and it blows the air out of the bottom and then it clamps your hair to straighten it. I'm loving it, it's so good."
