    What the gurus are saying

This cleanser removes makeup, mascara, and sunscreen without stripping the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated rather than tight or dry. The colloidal oatmeal and plant-based butters make it especially soothing for sensitive skin and those with a compromised barrier, and may help calm facial redness. The creamy texture and gentle lather work well as a first cleanse, even on oily and combination skin, though those with sensitive skin are likely to find it most rewarding.

"This one is not stripping in the least. This is honestly great for all skin types, even oily, even combination, but if you have dry sensitive skin you are going to absolutely love this. I guarantee it. This contains 1% colloidal oatmeal, which is very calming and soothing, great for sensitive skin, great for those experiencing a compromised skin barrier. This also prevents transepidermal water loss. It's very nourishing and moisturizing, but also if you're experiencing facial redness this can help to reduce the look of rosiness. This also contains marula oil which has antioxidant properties, so this is also rich in omegas. It also gives a nice glow to the skin as well, which I have found. The other key ingredient is elipe butter, which is a rich plant-based butter that is also rich in fatty acids. This does an amazing job to remove your makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day as that first cleanse. It removes mascara really nicely, water resistant sunscreens, foundations."

"This cleanser gave me a very light lather, felt nice, and smells a little bit like coconut but it wasn't overpowering. It [...] did a pretty good job removing my mascara. My skin feels nice and hydrated, not dry, and pretty darn clean. I'm impressed because a lot of times those all-in-one type cleansers are good at one thing and not the other, but this actually did a decent job of removing makeup, sunscreen, and eye mascara as well as leaving my skin feeling soft and not super dry or tight. [...] The lather is nice and gentle, and there are no strong scents. I think this would be a nice one to use with a silicone face cleaner device."

"It does a very good job, it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft and clean with no film. Does a really good job with sunscreen and makeup and things like that. I've only been able to test it for about a week but so far so good. I have a love-hate relationship with this brand now. For a while I was totally anti-Drunk Elephant, for a while I was in love with them, and now I'm kind of in a love-hate relationship. Some of their releases are still great and then some of the stuff just seems like an afterthought. It's still kind of pricey, but it's a really nice product."

"I absolutely love cream cleansers, and this is an exception, it's actually a light lather. It has a very pleasant smell to it, which shocked me, and I do like this, I like it a lot, I like how gentle it is. I haven't tried it to remove makeup because that's not typically how I use cream cleansers, I prefer oil cleansers for that, but as a morning cleanse this is really nice. Do you need to spend this much on a cream cleanser? Absolutely not, but did Drunk Elephant do a nice job on this? Yeah, I think they did, and this is the first product they've actually sent me that I've liked."
