What the gurus are saying

Gurus found this cleanser strikes a rare balance: it removes makeup, sunscreen, and mascara effectively while leaving skin feeling soft and hydrated rather than stripped or tight. The colloidal oatmeal and plant-based butters mean those with dry or sensitive skin, or anyone dealing with redness or a compromised barrier, may find it particularly soothing. One thing to keep in mind is that a light lather means the cleanse feels gentle, which some may interpret as less thorough, though both gurus reported it handled waterproof formulas without issue.

"This one is not stripping in the least. This is honestly great for all skin types, even oily, even combination, but if you have dry sensitive skin you are going to absolutely love this. I guarantee it. This contains 1% colloidal oatmeal, which is very calming and soothing, great for sensitive skin, great for those experiencing a compromised skin barrier. This also prevents transepidermal water loss. It's very nourishing and moisturizing, but also if you're experiencing facial redness this can help to reduce the look of rosiness. This also contains marula oil which has antioxidant properties, so this is also rich in omegas. It also gives a nice glow to the skin as well, which I have found. The other key ingredient is elipe butter, which is a rich plant-based butter that is also rich in fatty acids. This does an amazing job to remove your makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day as that first cleanse. It removes mascara really nicely, water resistant sunscreens, foundations."

"This cleanser gave me a very light lather, felt nice, and smells a little bit like coconut but it wasn't overpowering. It did a pretty good job removing my mascara. My skin feels nice and hydrated, not dry, and pretty darn clean. I'm impressed because a lot of times those all-in-one type cleansers are good at one thing and not the other, but this actually did a decent job of removing makeup, sunscreen, and eye mascara as well as leaving my skin feeling soft and not super dry or tight. The lather is nice and gentle, and there are no strong scents. I think this would be a nice one to use with a silicone face cleaner device."
