So it's pricey but it is a nice mask and I love Azelaic acid. It's pricey but there's Florin and apples and a lot of different things but I just picked this one because it's so different."

"This product is made with ten percent AHA acid and one percent salicylic acid, no fragrance, in the format of a leave-on mask intended to be the last step in your PM skincare routine. I've tried a lot of other AHA serums with ten percent AHA acid, and some of them can be a little more intense on my skin, they don't always contain that salicylic acid ingredient. I think it's the formula as well as how we use the AHA acid here that has really made a mask that gave me incredible results. I felt like every night that I use this I wake up with clearer skin."

"This bouncy bright facial mask is so good for my skin type. Ten percent azelaic acid is a great level, the research uses fifteen to twenty percent, but I feel comfortable with this level as long as you stick with it, I don't need to use it as often, I use it on alternating nights and still get the benefits. One percent salicylic acid is lower than the maximum level for acne, but it's a good level for my skin, and then there are calming ceramide ingredients and antioxidants too. It's a product that helps with acne scars, especially the PIE type, helps prevent breakouts, and helps clear them, it's such a multitasker. Even though it's expensive, I have come to love this product, and I only need two to three pumps."

This one works for me, it works really really well for me. I was worried it would be irritating since I have to be cautious with salicylic acid because of my skin sensitivities, but for some reason this works for me. I think AHA is a great hyperpigmentation fighting ingredient for sensitive skin. I find I don't need to use this as often as I was using my other AHA products, there must be something special in this formula, the Drunk Elephant team must have really good formulators because their products are really strong."

AHA acid is a wonderful acne treatment, most of the research is at 15% but there are a lot of anecdotal reports at 10%, which is what this product uses, combined with 1% salicylic acid, which is also an acne treatment. What makes this special isn't just those two ingredients, it's the full formula. The full formula is wonderful, every night that I use it my skin looks that much better in the morning, that much more glowy, that much more clear. It does also target hyperpigmentation, though on its own I don't think it's the strongest option for that, but it does help."

"Azelaic acid can help with brightening the skin, improving post-acne marks, hyperpigmentation, and salicylic acid is a great product for unclogging pores and helping with acne. All around this is just a really elegant product to use, almost like a treatment for me with my hormonal acne kicking back up postpartum leaving post-acne marks. I really loved using this a few times a week almost in place of my chemical exfoliant because the 1% azelaic acid itself is a chemical exfoliant. If you have more oily skin, I can certainly see that you could probably use this more frequently. I recommend leaving it on like a sleeping mask, finishing off the rest of your routine and avoiding other chemical exfoliants, any other serums that have alpha or beta hydroxy acid, and certainly probably want to avoid your topical retinoid, then just finish off with a lightweight moisturizer and apply this on as like a sleeping mask or just in place of your moisturizer depending on your skin needs. This would be like a moisturizer and treatment in one."
