  • Very expensive at $240 to $380 monthly
  • Unclear advantage over traditional exfoliants

What the gurus are saying

The cost is the sticking point here. Both experts found merit in the micronized acid approach and saw some exfoliation results, but balked at the price: one calculated nearly three thousand dollars annually for the full routine, the other felt the formula did not justify spending over three hundred dollars upfront plus ongoing costs. The science intrigues them, yet the value proposition does not.

"The other thing I didn't like about it was the price. The price of the capsules [...] is just whoa out there like it costs hundreds of dollars a month to use this and over the course of a year it's going to cost you thousands of dollars a year if you want to use all their capsules and do your whole skin care with this."

Faves + Fails April 2022
"I did a 45 day trial on this and [...] almost from the very first day that I started with it I couldn't wait for it to be over. [...] The gating issue with this for me was not so much the device, it was more the serums that you have to use with the device because you can only use their serums. You have to sign up for a subscription, it's very expensive, and every serum contains the same rose oil which did not agree with my skin. My skin looked 10 years older instead of [...] younger."
NEW Faves + Fails ~ January 2022!
"I've been testing the Droplet, which is a handheld device that's supposed to spray your skincare into your skin and get it 20 cell layers deep. I'm [...] about three weeks into the testing and [...] my neck is not looking very good and I am so disappointed. [...] My skin looks extra crepey and it has been extra irritated since I started with the Droplet. The capsules are a little expensive, and I find that my neck just doesn't look pretty right now, which is why I'm wearing this big turtleneck."
I Tried Droplette... SPRAY-ON Skincare?
"I love the science behind it and I love the idea of it, but I just don't think it's affordable at the price point that they have it now. My main issue with the whole thing is the cost of the monthly outlay. If I was going to continue with all three and spend 240 dollars a month on the serums, over 12 months that's almost three thousand dollars."

"I also know of the Droplet, both are good. I think I had a personal issue with a Droplet because I think that I was using it improperly. I need to revisit that."

Are Facial Misters Worth the Hype? My 6 Month Experiences: Droplette VS Réduit
"I did see a little bit of nice exfoliation over my first package. [...] The glycolic ones are good, but I'm also like how is this different than a traditional exfoliant? Yes, acids once they get into the skin are neutralized very quickly or some of them can damage the skin's barrier, and they claim that they micronize this so it doesn't damage the skin barrier, which is cool. But right now it's not worth 300 plus 80 dollars to me."
