What the gurus are saying

The soft, cushioned applicator glides without dragging, though the formula sits glossy on lips until blotted. What sets this serum apart is its gentle formula, which passes even for people with sensitive lips and throats that typically sting from lip products. Gurus found it delivers lasting hydration and plumps the lips without irritation.

Why Your PDRN Product Might Not Be Working | AD ft. Dr. Reju-All
"This is genuinely the product I didn't know I needed. It's liposomal, lipid coated PDRN with reverse micelle delivery [...] engineered specifically for lip absorption, fragrance free and sensitive lip approved. I have such sensitive lips and throat that most lip products sting, burn or irritate the back of my throat, but this one is sensitive lip, sensitive throat, sensitive everything approved for me."

"The tip is soft but not grabby, so it's weird to have a cushiony, pillowy, rubbery applicator that also doesn't drag across the skin. [...] I will say though, the one knock on it is that it's very glossy. [...] I do kind of the guy thing, I put it on, wipe it off, and it's fine. [...] This applicator tip is insane, and it's got PDRN in it, which theoretically could help support collagen in the lips."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Alpha hydroxy acids

Alpha hydroxy acids loosen the bonds holding dead cells at the surface. The evidence supports smoother texture and more even tone over time, and they can leave skin more sensitive to sun.

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
