What the gurus are saying

The roller-ball applicator and arnica-centella formula work together to visibly calm redness and deflate under-eye puffiness within about five to twenty minutes, making it especially popular for morning swelling and facial flushing. Beyond50Skin and Dr. Idriss both prize it for fast results on heat and inflammation, though it does carry arnica's natural scent and a slight yellow hue that some may notice. The formula is fragrance-free but unmasked, so the ingredient smell comes through as-is.

"The depuffer by Dr. Idriss is my top pick. It has a roller. You can keep it in the fridge for a cooling effect, but if you have redness, hot flashes, this is amazing for reducing redness quickly. It usually takes my skin about 5 minutes to kind of calm down."

"The deeppuffer is great for redness, those flushes of redness you might get or if your eyes are kind of puffy in the morning when you wake up. It has this really cool roller. Super calming and soothing ingredients. You can kind of get some lymphatic drainage. Some people keep this in the refrigerator for that kind of cool sensation. I use it usually on my cheeks in the evening if I'm having kind of a hot flash, red flush and it takes down the heat in my skin really quickly."

"Another product from Dr. Idriss that I absolutely love is the Depuffer. It's great for under eye puffies, but I use it mostly for flushing. It definitely diminishes the heat in my skin and the redness in my skin when I apply this if I'm just getting a little hot flush. So this is one of my absolute favorites, and I already have a backup."

"The De-Puffer from Dr. Idriss is especially wonderful if you have facial flushing. I've done a video, a before and after, and about five minutes after putting this on you can visually see the reduction in flushing. If you use it over time it helps. Is it a miracle cure? No. The key is to get to the root of your facial flushing, which can also be challenging, it could be rosacea, it could just be emotions, it could be what you're eating. But the key is to keep it at a minimum, because the more inflammation we have the more capillaries get expanded and the harder it is to control skin tone and skin redness. It has arnica and ash bark, combination ingredients that have proven to help with darkness and redness in the skin. It's kind of a gooey substance but it's really cool, a green type of formula. The roller is really nice, you just roll it on in the under eye area."

"I love my Dr. Idriss De-Puffer. I use it around my eyes every morning like a lymphatic facial in a bottle. I roll it around. I wake up. By the time I get up, use the bathroom, brush my teeth, make my coffee, then jump in the shower, it's usually around 20ish minutes, my eyes are depuffed by the time I come out of the shower."

"The Dr. Idriss Depuffer, this one won all Best of Beauty. It is an arnica serum with Centella Asiatica. So it's going to reduce the look of swelling and inflammation while helping to reduce the look of redness. And it comes with a roller ball, so you can help get a lymphatic drainage as you apply the serum."

"Full disclosure, my baby, the De-Puffer. This has been a pride and joy, took me many, many, many iterations to actually get to the formula. It is an arnica based depuffing serum that comes with a roller, and the reason I made this was because I wanted a serum that continues to depuff and reduce the look of redness long after you're done depuffing with a roller. I wanted the serum to be a mirror effect of what a roller can do and more, and we were able to do this and prove that it works through clinical studies. It's also a great adjunct for my patients because I'm a cosmetic dermatologist, I do a lot of treatments in my office, and this helps minimize the look of bruising post procedurally. Love it."

"The De-Puffer has a scent that comes from the arnica. The arnica has a scent, but it is fragrance-free. We're not trying to mask that scent with a fragrance in order to make it more appealing to you. When something has a light scent it's technically still considered fragrance-free because there's no fragrance added. You're smelling the ingredients come through."

"Dr. Idriss De-Puffer is my staple every morning. I keep this baby next to my bed, and quite frankly before I even open my eyes I roll around my eyes and massage the gel in, and then I go to the bathroom, then I use the toilet, then I brush my teeth, then I jump in the shower, and by the time I come out it's like I'm open. When I do drink alcohol it really does affect my eyes the next day, and ever since I had LASIK especially I do feel the dryness makes my eyes more reactive in terms of puffiness. This has been a godsend in the winter. I even use it on my nose, and sometimes I even use it down here to help depuff if I had a very salty meal the night before. So this is great."

How to Transition Your Skincare Routine for Spring from a Dermatologist! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"The second thing I love to incorporate, and obviously conflict of interest, it is my brand, the De-Puffer. The De-Puffer helps to reduce puffiness and redness. It is an arnica based serum, it has centella asiatica, it has niacinamide, it has bark extract. It's like Spanx for the eyes. It's not necessarily an eye product, you can use it all over your face. I do use it along the jawline and the nose and my eyes, especially when I'm red, when I have a bruise or a wound or something that's swollen, I use it on it because of the arnica. But I use it every day around my eyes, that is how I use it. Before I wake up I apply it, so it's usually next to my bed, and then I roll it around my eyes. I don't let it get into my eyes, and by the time I come to the bathroom and brush my teeth and use the toilet and shower and then come out, it's like my eyes open up a little bit. It goes a long way. It has a weird tint to it, a yellow hue and a scent, the scent is the arnica, we did not try to mask it, I do not believe in that, so you smell it as it is and you see the color as it is. It's not diluted, it is not formulated in a homeopathic fashion."
Fall Nighttime Skincare Routine: Face & Body! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"I'm going to use the Dr. Idriss De-Puffer tonight because it has arnica. I use this every morning religiously, he's my favorite tool in the world, there are no tools that compare to this tool. The reason I use him every night and every morning is because it helps to reduce the look of swelling as well as redness. I'm going to use it tonight because arnica has been used for centuries across various cultures and throughout the history of medicine to help with inflammation and the look of bruising, so I'm going to use this in hopes that it helps make this bruise disappear faster without leaving any residual residue. I'm also going to roll above my eye because it's slightly swollen from the lymphatic blockage the swelling is causing, and massage from the inside out."
Skincare for Your 30s: Anti-Aging, Adult Acne, Oily Skin | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"I've also on purpose developed the Dr. Idriss De-Puffer. It's a combination of centella asiatica and niacinamide to help regulate the redness and inflammation that comes with the hormonal shifts in your 30s, plus it has arnica as well as hydroxyphenyl propylaminobenzoic acid, which regulates histamine production, so you're not as puffy and you're not as red, because in your 30s if you go out and have a wild night out, you're going to wake up red in the morning, and this is going to be your best friend before sunscreen. It comes in the form of a roller, you can roll around your eyes if you want to help mechanically de-puff, but if you don't want to roll and you just want to use the serum, you could take the roller head off and use the serum just like that, underneath your sunscreen. It's clinically proven to reduce the look of redness."
How to Get Brighter Skin! | Skin Training with Dr. Idriss
"For our purposes with my product line, I have the De-Puffer that I use in the morning, and I use this around my eyes every morning because it's like spanx for my eyes. It helps to reduce swelling but it also helps to reduce redness. Some melasma has a vascular component to it, meaning superficial blood flow to your skin can trigger your hyperpigmentation and your melasma. When you get hot, when you get nervous, when you get stressed, when you get flushed in your face, that pigment in your melasma can flare up. So if you are finding a product on the market that can help reduce the look of redness, it can help minimize that superficial flush on your face, and it can indirectly help your melasma as well."
How to Get Glowing Skin! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"This is an arnica serum that is meant to calm the skin, calm the redness of the skin. It's not treating rosacea, but if you're somebody who flushes easily, if you have a lot of redness on your face, if you have redness from acne scars or marks, or if you wake up red because of seasonal allergies, this is amazing. A little bit goes a long way. The reason it is brown is because it is not diluted. When you guys think of traditional arnica products you can buy in a supermarket or a pharmacy or in Europe, they're clear, homeopathic 10x. 10x doesn't mean 10 times as strong, it means 10 times diluted, and this is not that. This is all you need, you see how much I squeezed, and I always squeeze it off. This is how much I use and this goes a very long way. You don't need more than that for your full face, and even less if you're just doing your eyes. Something that is effective, that is quality, you do not need a lot of, and when you put too much it's going to peel because it's high in actives, and you want to make sure you're not overdoing it and wasting product in the process."
Best Skincare for Your 30s: Anti-aging, Oily Skin, Hormonal/Adult Acne & More! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"If you have redness and are trying to minimize it, and you also have a lot of inflammation, arnica is an ingredient that can really help since it's anti-inflammatory to minimize that inflammation, and that is what I put in the De Puffer, which has an arnica serum and a roller to help minimize swelling associated with redness. So if you have swelling associated with redness and puffiness, I would try this one. If you just have redness and no puffiness or swelling, you could try this one."
Top 8 Ingredients to Treat Redness & Rosacea from a Dermatologist! | Dr. Shereene Idriss
"It has centella asiatica, arnica, and azelaic acid in it which all have anti-inflammatory effects and it reduces the look of inflammation. It has been shown to promote collagen production and it also has certain antioxidants that can protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. I love this product if you have rosacea because it is loaded in centella asiatica but it also has arnica, and arnica is not one that is traditionally thought of for rosacea but it works like a charm because it helps reduce the redness and calms the inflammation in a synergistic way so your skin looks less flushed within a couple of minutes when done correctly. Arnica is tricky though because when you look for arnica products more often than not they're diluted in a homeopathic fashion. This one is purely arnica because it is pure arnica. The golden hue you see here is due to the high concentration of arnica in this formulation."
