"This is a great little mask for people who have wrinkles and or acne because this one has two colors of light. It has red light which is good for anti-aging and it has blue light which is good for acne. The treatment time is only three minutes a day. What I love about this mask is how well it fits my face. It doesn't have the most LED bulbs, but I think that they sit so much closer to the skin because of how this is shaped and it really conforms well to my face."

It's still single use waste that's just not necessary when you can find great face masks that are available in the jar and won't result in that single use waste. The issue I have with this one specifically is that not only do you have the plastic wrapper on the outside and the actual face mask, but you also have that plastic divider that you peel off, so that's like three plastic pieces, all of which are totally unnecessary, which is why I just can't jump on the face mask bandwagon. I know it's really satisfying to like put the sheet mask on your face and look cute, but it's just really not great for the environment."

"I bought this device for a pretty penny to treat my neck and decolletage, and I've never really been able to recommend it. It broke on me, and it was never quite a perfect match for what I wanted it to do in terms of treating my neck. It tries too hard to multitask as a body treatment, so the lights are just kind of placed everywhere instead of specifically targeting where you'd want for anti aging purposes, and I always had to prop it awkwardly as I lay back, you can't walk around with it. It retails for four hundred fifty five dollars. After a year and a half with it, I'm done with this mask forever."

This is for people who are interested in both anti-aging aspects and fighting acne, you do not need this if you do not have acne, because what makes it special is that you have your red light but you also have your blue light and you can run the two together."

"The Dr. Dennis Gross LED mask is my most used LED mask, but it's not my favorite, and it's actually one I wouldn't recommend for most people. In a big contrast to most LED masks out there, this is the only one where you can run the red and the blue settings at the same time, which is really helpful if you deal with acne, but if you don't have acne you don't need blue light, and on that basis alone you can save at least $150. I don't use the strap with this because the strap was terrible. Their warranty is also confusing, you have to register it within 30 days of buying your device, and if it breaks in 31 days you're out of luck. It is my most used though, because I do deal with acne it is a lot better, I do believe devices like this have helped, it's just a case of why would you spend $450 on a device that has some issues with it when you can spend 300 or less."

"This LED face mask you see it everywhere, it is really really good. It is super expensive, you can get it at Sephora or Ulta, but again if you can get it on Black Friday get it at a discount. There are some very scammy LED products, so don't get the ones that are just the flat little bulbs, you want to get the rounded ones. Don't get ones that burn your eyeballs out, you need to have eye protection. Don't get the ones that say face whitening. These are the two that I actually recommend."

The red LED light can literally help with any inflammation, can help with collagen and elastin stimulation, can help with fine lines and wrinkles. There have been medical studies done on LED specifically showing that red light at the correct wavelengths and correct strengths can actually help with fine lines wrinkles hyperpigmentation sun spots and photo damage. "Dr. Dennis Gross has an LED mask that is super fancy. It's like 400 dollars. If you want to look like a cyborg, if you want to look amazing, this is the way to do it. Dr. Dennis Gross actually did clinical testing on their LED devices, and they did them right. You have these cutouts for the eye area so it's not interfering with vision. It actually comes with a strap that straps around your head. The way the LEDs are situated, they're kind of these bubbled ones, so they actually disperse across the skin as opposed to just targeting one area. They did a really good job on this. While it is a luxury, if you can get this on sale, I would highly recommend it."

I've used it both as a patient who had acne in dermatology offices and as a medical aesthetician, and it's something I help other people with when I have access to it in clinic. LED light panels exist that shoot blue light at the skin to help with acne. The big professional panels cost eight thousand to six thousand dollars, and home versions can be found for around five hundred dollars or less. I love the one from DMAb Beam for one hundred twenty dollars. These work by literally shooting blue LED light at the skin to help with acne, and it's been shown in multiple studies and analyses and reviews that LED light seems to help for acne, and specifically blue light at certain wavelengths is helpful for skin."

"This one is for the full face and can improve both acne and anti-aging. The benefit of a device like this is that you can improve your skin without any topical skincare ingredients, just the LED lights. This is going to be great if you have sensitive skin and you really can't tolerate retinoids and topical acids very well. If you have acne and you don't want to use topical or oral antibiotics, you can try something like this as part of your routine. But I will tell you this will not be all you need to treat acne unless you have like super mild acne. This should be part of your total treatment plan. You can see the red light for anti-aging that's going to help renew or build new collagen, fill out the fine lines, then there's the blue light, and then of course the mode where you can do both acne and anti-aging at the same time, which is really cool and unique about this device."
