What the gurus are saying

Cassandra Bankson is mixed; James Welsh passed. James Welsh: "Whilst these products are horrifically overpriced, [...] I do believe if you're going to make something super expensive it at least needs to feel good on the skin, this brand is a perfect example of a brand that uses somebody's doctor title and fancy sciency sounding words to justify their extortionate prices."

"Whilst these products are horrifically overpriced, [...] I do believe if you're going to make something super expensive it at least needs to feel good on the skin, this brand is a perfect example of a brand that uses somebody's doctor title and fancy sciency sounding words to justify their extortionate prices. Their Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a perfect example, [...] hyaluronic acid does not need to be expensive [...] to work, [...] yet this is what they hold onto to say why theirs is over £300."

"She is going in with hyaluronic acid from Dr. Barbara Sturm. Dr. Barbara Sturm is an amazing doctor, creator of the Vampire Facial, brilliant in what she does. But does she create good products? She creates overpriced products. Most of her products are grossly overpriced, including this hyaluronic serum. This hyaluronic serum is a whopping $300 on Saks Fifth Avenue. It is ridiculous. Are the ingredients good? Absolutely. But are they worth $300? No. The ingredients are water, butylene glycol, lactobacillus ferment extract, phenoxyethanol, sodium hyaluronate, ethylhexylglycerin. These are simple ingredients and I understand that sourcing and formulation matters, but overall her products are just extremely overpriced, including this one."
