"I would definitely replace the seventy two dollar Dr. Barbara Sturm cleanser with the eight dollar Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Both are non-foaming, fragrance-free, gentle cleansers, great for sensitive skin, but with this one you're simply paying more for the luxury name and packaging. Honestly, I'd even argue that this one isn't an actual cleanser, because there are no actual cleansing surfactants in it. Looking at the formulation, it's more of a soothing mask. Again, PR working overtime."

"Enzymes are exfoliating and break down skin cells and the gunk that holds skin together. You might not want to use an exfoliating cleanser every day, especially if you're going in the sun it can be a lot. But if she's doing this before makeup it could get any crusties off the skin and could really prep the skin for makeup well. It's 75 dollars which is a ton of money, but for Dr. Barbara Sturm that's actually not bad. I would still spend my 75 dollars on Dermalogica instead though. The ingredients look basic, we have some enzymes like lipase and ascorbic acid which is vitamin C, basically corn gummy plant carbs, basically cellulose and talc. I mean it doesn't actually look bad like I would legit put this on my face, I just wouldn't want to pay 75 dollars."
