"I'm kind of at a stage now where I'm trying the different scents that they have. Typically for the longest time my go-to scent was the original one, the white and blue one. Very recently I tried the pink one, loved it. Went to the store recently, saw that they had the green one, the refreshing one. I got that as well. Dove also not as expensive as even the Dove shower gels."

"The nice thing about the Dove Beauty Bar is that if you like the scent, provided you're not allergic to it, that's what's in the original, but the sensitive one is fragrance-free. This is gentle enough to adequately cleanse, but not disrupt skin's outermost pH to a point where it causes the enzymes there to be haphazard in terms of their function and not help with barrier integrity the way they need to. It also leaves behind moisturizing ingredients, so it cleanses and moisturizes at the same time. I highly recommend this. It's great for you, and you can also use it to wash your hands. "It wasn't just another soap. It was a gentler alternative that still cleaned your body and killed bacteria whilst also moisturising your skin at the same time. And although that sounds so basic now, it was actually the first of its kind and it helped position Dove as something closer to a beauty brand than a typical soap brand. They really leaned into that moisturising aspect of the product with all their ads focusing on the fact that their bars contained a quarter moisturising cream. Dove was a modern, scientific and aimed at women specifically as a way of caring for themselves. Fans of the brand also love the strong fragrance that Dove added to their beauty bars."

"I'm not using any sort of fancy soap or anything like that. I'm just using a Dove bar soap and scrubbing my skin. That's how you get it to where your body and your skin is behaving the way that it did when it was younger. We had better circulation when it was younger. "The good part about Dove is that it's not drying, so even now I don't feel my skin is drying. It just feels like a regular face wash. It has these little mini beads and maybe that's why they call it exfoliating, and it is exfoliating, but it doesn't feel anything special."
