You can add it directly to a cool bath, or soak washcloths in the solution and apply it to the rash as a cool compress. Do this multiple times a day. "What works really well to help repair skin barriers quickly, or at least soothe the skin, is something called Domeboro soaks. You put the packet in a bowl of lukewarm water, soak a washcloth in it, and lay it on the affected area, and that helps soothe the skin and calm down things like allergic reactions or really severe itchy eczema, so patients don't have to be using a steroid constantly. For the right skin condition it can be helpful, but for others it may not be."
