What the gurus are saying

This foundation earns consistent praise for staying put through sweat, heat, and humidity, making it a standout choice for active lifestyles, outdoor work, and special occasions where longevity matters. The water-based formula applies best with a synthetic brush and adapts across skin types: those with oily skin find it holds well with minimal prep, while those with drier skin benefit from a moisturizer underneath. What keeps coming back in the feedback is the invisible finish that reads like real skin yet offers light to medium coverage, paired with a balanced texture that self-sets without drying or looking heavy.

"Another oily skin friendly foundation that I love is the Dior Backstage Face and Body. I used to be a huge MAC Face and Body girl, but I feel like I've been gravitating more towards the Dior Backstage Face and Body, which is good for dry skin like mine if I do a lot of prep underneath it. But if you don't put a lot of moisturizer and heavy products underneath, it is beautiful on oily skin. And it is also sweat resistant. So, it's great if you have a more active lifestyle. If you're just more of like a sweaty girly, it's nice to have something that is just going to hold up. If you're going to be like dancing or at a wedding or you're in a humid climate, it just handles so well over time. They have an incredible shade range. I often will pick a couple of shades and sort of mix depending on how much fake tan or real tan I sometimes have. But a beautiful, beautiful product that works on so many different skin types."

"The Dior Backstage foundation is water-based. Typically with water-based products, they're going to apply a little bit better with a brush. Synthetic fibers are really good for this because it's not going to soak up the product as much."

"I wear so many foundations and CC creams, but my go-to perfect look that always gets compliments is Dior Backstage Face and Body. It's light to medium coverage for me and looks 100% like skin so even invisible, but it has coverage. It lasts all night and is perfect for photos. I've loved this foundation for years. It's completely lightweight, I can't feel it at all, and it self sets but without drying my skin. The finish is perfect, not too matte, not too dewy. Dior's shade range is great. I've got olive skin and sometimes it can be hard to find the right match, but this one is perfect."

"I'm going to use this Dior Backstage Foundation, it's been sitting in my things for a while I wanted to revisit it. I have the shade 0N and I'm just going to go ahead and apply that all over focusing it on top of areas that I have more redness."

"For Angie's complex, for her foundation, one of my go-tos that I use professionally on a regular basis is the Dior Backstage Face and Body. This is a very longwear foundation, it's also heat, sweat, humidity resistant, it's extremely longwearing, it's great for an all day wear."

"This is a personal favorite of mine. This summer it has replaced my Armani Foundation. It's sweat resistant, it is truly sweat resistant. The Dior is a game changer if you are working outside. I have a lot of clients that shoot outside, we do commercials all day, we're out on the elements, and I have tons of people in the fitness industry where I do their makeup and then they actually do a workout program, so their makeup needs to stay put. I've used it on brides, I've used it on tons of people for special occasions, it does not move."
