What the gurus are saying

This concealer earns praise for blending seamlessly and holding up beautifully throughout the day without creasing or fading after eight hours. One reviewer loved the formula despite finding it a touch glowy, while another called it a real winner for its smooth application and lasting coverage. Shade matching appears to be a strength, though the luminous finish may feel more dewy than matte depending on skin type.

"I have very mixed feelings about this one. I [...] do like the way it looks, but it's a little bit too glowy for a concealer for me. I really enjoy the formula and the shade is perfect for me, but [...] the packaging is a problem. It's a brush applicator, which I don't love. [...] It gets goopy all around the whole top of it and starts to get pretty bad over time. Every time you stick the brush back in, product comes out with it."
✓Yay
"I think it doesn't look bad from a distance, and it blends really beautifully. It lays down so beautifully to start, and this concealer is still super beautiful not creased after eight hours. The coverage is still in place after eight hours, it's not very worn off. This is a real winner."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Vitamin C

Topical vitamin C is an antioxidant with reasonable evidence for dullness and uneven tone. It breaks down in light and air, so how a product is formulated and packaged matters as much as the percentage on the front.

Sunscreen filters

Sun protection is the best evidenced way to slow visible ageing, and the filters are what does the work. Mineral and chemical filters both protect when a product is applied thickly enough and often enough, which is where most people fall short rather than on the choice of filter.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
