What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently flag the fragrance content as a notable drawback, with those sensitive to scent finding it difficult to use despite the product's performance. The consensus is that the multi-form vitamin C approach and light texture work well, but fragrance tolerance is the deciding factor. Those unbothered by added scent and unable to use L-ascorbic acid may find it a solid option.

"The Dermatology Vitamin C5, it's got the five vitamin C versions in here but it's got too much fragrance in here. So if they took the fragrance out this could be an awesome product I'd hands down recommend. Or if you're not sensitive to fragrance it's great. But I am and yeah can't use it."

"Another reason I don't tend to reach for it is there are perfuming products in this or fragrance and I am not a fan of fragrance. This does not irritate my skin, some fragrances do, it's very light, it does dissipate so I don't feel like the fragrance is lingering or headache inducing, but it's not my favorite vitamin C by any means because of that. But it could be the exception if you know fragrance is such a personal choice. This could be your absolute favorite vitamin C if you can't tolerate L-ascorbic acid and you don't mind a touch of fragrance."
