What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this cream as effective yet gentle, with no reports of irritation or dryness even among sensitive users. Results on texture, crepiness, and smoothness are noted across reviews. The main caveat is that it's less potent than stronger retinoids, so those seeking dramatic anti-aging punch may want to step up. All reviewers recommend starting low frequency and keeping it to nighttime.

"I much prefer the HPR cream by Dermatology, has a little bit of vitamin A, hyaluronic acid, retinol. It actually makes my under eyes look a lot better because it's non-irritating."

"This spreads nicely. There is a little bit of a yellow tone to this, which is quite common when you're using something with a retinoid. It is not greasy or sticky on the skin. It will dry down skin-like and it leaves your skin feeling really moisturized. So if you have really dry under eyes, I think you're going to really enjoy this one."

6 BEST ANTI-AGING EYE CREAMS 2023 | SKINCARE OVER 30
"It contains peptides and I use this at night time without pairing anything else with it because this really is sufficient on its own. I love the results that I have seen so far with this. It really helps with texture, crepiness, to soften crow's feet, and it really keeps everything nice and smooth. My under eyes have never been smoother since using this. The cream is very rich and it really does keep that skin nice and comfortable. It can be used twice a day but I would start with once a day and gradually increase if that is your goal because we're all different. Even though they say this is gentle, we're all different. I've never experienced dryness or irritation with it. I did use it once in my morning skincare routine and I did not pair it up with makeup, so I just used it with sunscreen and it worked fine. There was no peeling whatsoever. When there's retinols and retinoids and active ingredients in my skincare products, I generally like to keep these for nighttime. All you need is one little pump for both of your eyes and that is sufficient enough. I put this underneath that brow bone. I don't go too much on my eyelids just because I don't want there to be dryness in case that ever did happen."

MY NIGHTTIME ANTI-AGING SKINCARE ROUTINE | P.M. WINTER SKINCARE ROUTINE | OVER 30 SINCERELY MISS ASH
"This is the Dermatology HPR eye cream, one of their newest products from late 2023. HPR is actually one of the newest retinoids, and they say this is more effective than your traditional retinol but it's less irritating and more gentle. From my experience using this, it's really gentle. I've never had any irritation or dryness. That said, I've been using a lot of actives around my eyes for a very long time, so maybe my eye area is just accustomed to actives. We're all different, so please be cautious, maybe start with one or two days a week and then gradually increase from there. This formulation also has peptides in it and it's very moisturizing, especially for the winter months. Less is more with the amount you use. I strictly keep this for nighttime because it does contain that retinoid."

"It's a really nice one. It's also very moisturizing. It's not drying. I've never experienced sensitivities with this. I like this one more than the advanced eye cream because this one is way more effective. There are peptides in the HPR eye cream as well. If you love your peptide serums and you want that nice niacinamide in there, those ceramides, then this would be a great product to look into. I would consider purchasing this one again in the future."
BEST EYE CREAMS FOR ANTI-AGING | 2024 | DARK CIRCLES, PUFFINESS, FINE LINES/WRINKLES | OVER 30
"The Dermatology HPR eye cream contains an ingredient called hydroxy pinacolone retinoid, which is actually one of the newest retinoids in the retinoid world and it's effective but yet gentle, gentle enough for those that have sensitive skin around the eyes. In my opinion and from my experience with using this, I don't find this one to be as powerful and as fast acting as some stronger options, but if you know for sure you couldn't handle a stronger retinoid because you're thinking it's going to be too strong, then I would say go with this one instead because this is very gentle. I truly believe this one will be more gentle even for those that have sensitive skin. This also has two peptides which are also great to firm the skin and to address fine lines and wrinkles."
