What the gurus are saying

Sulfur's antimite and anti-inflammatory action makes this ointment particularly effective for rosacea, acne, and fungal breakouts, with some research suggesting it works better than certain prescription treatments. The major caveat is the distinctive rotten-egg smell that lingers on skin, though dermatologists who recommend it stress the results often outweigh the odor. Using it twice daily as a treatment or mask tends to deliver the best outcomes, especially for those with sensitivity to stronger actives.

"I love and highly recommend the De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment. It's fragrance-free. It's super inexpensive. Sulfur is awesome for acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, peroral dermatitis, perorificial dermatitis, something that's happening around your eyes, those little demodex mites that can cause little red bumps, overlaps with rosacea. Sulfur can be great for all of those things. It has mild comedolytic effect as well. But unfortunately, sulfur does smell like eggs. And the De La Cruz mask treatment does leave the skin smelling like sulfur."

How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads On The Nose
"One of my favorite products is the De La Cruz sulfur ointment. You can apply it as a mask. It is underrated. It can be really beneficial for whiteheads. Sulfur does have a bit of an odd odor, but once you get over that it can be very beneficial, especially if you have very sensitive skin. It can help break up the plugged up pores and it's anti-inflammatory."
Sebaceous Filaments Vs Demodex Face Mites
"One of the more helpful things that you can buy at the drugstore is a topical sulfur ointment. I'm a huge fan of the De La Cruz sulfur ointment. Sulfur is one of the ways in which it might help rosacea by targeting the Demodex, but it also can help in the case of demodicosis as well. It may have some antimite action that helps to cut down on the burden of these little things. It's also anti-inflammatory and it's keratolytic, so it kind of will help to lessen the overall burden of stuff that the little mites snack on."
*BEST* Face Wash For Clear And Glowing Skin | Derm Favorite
"De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment is one of my favorites. The sodium sulfacetamide through its anti-inflammatory properties seems to be particularly helpful when used twice a day for rosacea. It may help target those little Demodex mites which are thought to play a role in rosacea because the burden of Demodex mites is much higher in the skin lesions of rosacea compared to healthy skin. Some studies suggest that sodium sulfacetamide and sulfur together is actually more effective than topical 0.75% Metronidazole gel."

"I love sulfur. I use it for my blackheads, for my pores, for oil control, for acne, for fungal acne, for periorificial dermatitis. Sulfur-based treatments tend to calm down inflammation. They are also a little bit better than acid in my opinion at fighting some of the bacteria and fungi that we grow on our skin. The De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment is a good product recommendation."
