What the gurus are saying

Experts consistently praise this mask for clinical backing, even wavelength distribution across 120 bulbs per color, and a comfortable fit that encourages regular use, with dermatologists noting red light reliably supports collagen production and skin resilience when used consistently over time. One reviewer found it performed comparably to a pricier competitor despite more bulbs, suggesting fit and individual response matter as much as specs. Gurus stress the technology only works with consistent use, so comfort and ease matter as much as the device itself.

"The Current Body Mask is one of the masks that I've researched and tried over the years that I really like and will generally recommend. It's quite an investment, but it should last you for years and give you significant improvement on your skin."

"My top recommendations, Current Body Skin LED light therapy mask. This is the one I call the best value in the professional-grade mask category. It's FDA cleared, uses 633 nanometer red and 830 nanometer near infrared, and the clinical data behind it is real. One of the most widely used masks globally, and for good reason. It performs at a level you'd expect from a device costing significantly more."

"I'm a fan of CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask. Red light supports collagen production, reduced inflammation, improved skin texture, cellular energy, and when used consistently, red light can improve overall skin quality and resilience. It's not instant, but it's reliable. I'd give red light therapy a 9 out of 10."

"I love the current body ones because they fit. They actually did like a redo of the mask. So, the mask fits a lot better and closer to your face. And then they have a neck one that I really love. It's like more of a matte and I think that it's great. For me, it actually helps my skin. I use the face and the neck and chest one."

"My favorite is from Current Body. I had stopped for a little while using the LED mask because I wanted to see what would happen with my face while I was on doxycycline and see if that was working. And it worked so well. So now I'm ready to get back on to using my LED mask and see if it maintains what I've had with my skin because I just think my skin looks so much better lately."

"I usually use the one from CurrentBody mostly because they gave me a lot of studies and everything that just show how well it works. LED therapy is really great every single day but it's also especially great after shaving, after nicking yourself, anything like that because it also helps to fight bacteria. I personally think this is just a good opportunity while your skin is nice and fresh and clean to get your red light therapy in."

"I probably use my LED mask about four times a week if I'm being honest. Some of the things I really like about CurrentBody specifically is that they're one of the first companies to really put out this kind of professional LED mask and also I like that they have lots of information that they're willing to give you as a company. They've done a lot of studies. They even have something that I want to say they call it like PilloTech or something which basically means that the LED lights, the bulbs aren't just directly hitting your face, they're actually spreading out throughout the mask so you're getting more of an even distribution of the LED light. I like that they point that stuff out. Now that there are so many masks on the market, you really want just more information. It can't hurt you to have all this information, and if a brand is willing to give you all of that then that makes me trust them more. That's why I go with CurrentBody. I can easily throw it into my suitcase and it just lays really flat."

"I've been using and trying a lot of LED masks and I find myself going back to this brand specifically. The reason why I keep going back to the CurrentBody LED mask and the neck and décolleté one is they fit all the wavelengths and everything that you want when it comes to an LED mask, but also with all the other brands out there, I reach out asking them questions about it like what makes it different, where is it made, all that kind of stuff. I feel like CurrentBody has done a really good job of getting me a lot of information besides meeting the standard of what you want for your LED mask. They also have something called pillow technology that ensures that you're getting this distribution of the wavelengths and everything, the LED light."

"I looked at the specs on it and it looks really, really good. The red wavelength is 635. What we're looking for is 633. So that's only two off. So that puts it right in the very accurate range. The near infrared is 830 and it also contains blue light at 415. So this one, if you also have acne or you want to share it with a kid, this has all three in one mask and it's got the most bulbs. It has 120 of each color bulb. There are three modes. Mode one is red and near infrared light. Mode two is red, near infrared, and blue light all on at the same time. And mode three is blue light only. Most masks will have 50 or under. So that's a ton of bulbs in here. So a mask with more bulbs, they're closer together, so it treats more of your skin more evenly, and that's really important in a mask."

"This mask is already shaped and has a built-in strap under here to treat this part, which you don't really get with the Omnilux mask. This mask definitely is a little bit big on me under here. I've been using it for about 6 months now. I can't say that I see a huge difference between using this one and using the Omnilux. Even though this one does have more light bulbs, I'm not sure that it's really giving me that much better of a treatment. I haven't really seen a quantitative difference. I think it's doing about the same job as my Omnilux mask. This one is more expensive than the Omnilux. This is in like an over $400 price point."

Lasers, Botox, and Skincare for HEALTHY AGING Explained by Dermatologists
"Consistent use of the LED mask is actually what makes a big difference. We've always been big proponents of the technology in general, so whether you get one from Omnilux or CurrentBody or there's a new one from Shark Beauty, just using that consistently is going to show results. Specifically when talking about anti-aging, we're usually talking about red light and infrared light, and it stimulates collagen production by stimulating fibroblasts. By doing that, your skin will be healthier for longer, but you do have to be consistent. It is a technology that we do believe in."

"I do recommend light therapy masks if you can be consistent with them. They're not a total waste of money. The two I typically recommend are by Omnilux and by Current Body. Those masks both have the right specs to get you the right results. They have the right power to get you the right results. And they're both really high quality masks. I have used both and loved both."

"The CurrentBody is in my top masks. You would think this is such a flimsy lightweight mask, but it's very easy to use. In addition to being FDA cleared, you want ease of use. It's pretty comfortable to put on, and that means if it's comfortable and easy to use, you're going to be more likely to use it. If you're having to put on some contraption that is heavy solid plastic, which a lot of them are out there, you have to think about how likely you're going to be to sit there and use that mask. I can tell you just based on my own experience, not very likely."

What is LED Light Therapy & What Does It Do?🚨 👉It’s the process of exposing your skin to different
"I do like this mask. It has the straps and it's a little bit fewer of the actual LEDs that are on the device. When you're looking for a device you want to look at how is the size and the treatment area. The Omnilux has a little bit more than the CurrentBody and it has a little bit more than also the Enduro. And then also is it comfortable to wear because you're not going to wear a mask that is uncomfortable to wear and how close are the lights to the actual treatment area that you're treating. If you have a mask and your mask is way out here and it's like some big contraption that you're putting on your head you're not going to get as good a result as if you have a device where the mask can go right up against your face."

These kind of devices are all within that therapeutic wavelength, which is not necessarily true with all the devices that you can buy on Amazon these days."

"The CurrentBody LED mask is red light therapy that I've been talking about for several years. This is the mask that you put on for 10 minutes, and I also have the neck and décolletage one on as well so this is treating the chest as well as the neck. It's also a 10-minute treatment and I do have these on at the same time. Red light therapy is great for so many things but it's especially great to help produce new collagen, soften fine lines, achieve that brighter complexion, and it can really help to even out your skin tone in time as well. Red light therapy is great for wound healing also. There are so many benefits, so I'm loving this."

"You can pop this on and put it on the pulse setting, and this setting will help skincare to absorb deeper and better into your skin. I don't always use this setting, I'm more focused on the red light setting or the magenta, especially if I'm breaking out. I really like how there's no cutout for the lips, so your lips are being treated at the same time as the rest of the face."

"This is the product that I have been the most consistent with over the last several years and this still works really well. Red light therapy will help with that brighter complexion but also it can help to even out your skin tone especially if you have post-acne marks discoloration and it can help to stimulate new collagen soften fine lines and wrinkles. The first thing that you will notice when you are consistent with red light therapy is that brighter complexion. This one from CurrentBody has the red light as well as the near infrared light technology which is what you want. This is a 10-minute treatment that you do every day or three to four times per week. Now when I first started using this I was using this every day but now I might only use this three or four times per week which really is sufficient enough. Depending on how busy your lifestyle is you might only want to use this a few times per week or you may want to use it every day. You can use this in the morning as well as night time and you want to use this on clean skin so make sure you don't have makeup or sunscreen on your face, cleanse your skin, use this for 10 minutes and then go in with your skin care afterwards."

"I really like the concept of that one because I feel like with a lot of LED masks they tend to be very bulky and also kind of flimsy and easy to break. They're not ideal to carry around or bring in your suitcase. That one's nice because it's basically covered in rubber or silicone which makes it very easy to bend and contour to your face. It's $380, definitely not a bargain at all. However, I will say in its defense the majority of LED face mask products tend to be very expensive, and I would say out of the majority of them this one would be one of the more worth it ones just because it is more durable and less likely to break. However, $380 for an LED mask is still pretty absurd in my opinion."

"The CurrentBody is £299 with 132 bulbs. I'd say it's actually quite comfortable to wear and it gives you a 10-minute timer. I bought the device and used it 4 days a week as directed, and every time I took it off my skin felt rejuvenated. The problem is that my melasma looked worse every time. There's a reason that if you're cooking in the kitchen your melasma is going to look worse, any form of heat or energy hitting the skin can activate the melanocytes, especially if you're already prone to it and you already have it. However, if you want to use your red light mask but you don't want to make your melasma worse, I would recommend applying something opaque just on the melasma area and then applying the mask on top."

"I have both the Omnilux and the CurrentBody masks and they both are very similar. They have red light and near infrared light to tackle both surface pigmentation and over time to produce collagen and elastin to help with fine lines. I find the most immediate effect is that red light that helps with pigmentation. The masks are both pulsed continuous light and multicolored light."

"I got nice results, it reduced my redness. Only thing that I want to let you know is if you have a large face the lights might not cover all the areas, it might be a little bit short on the side of your face. Also, this doesn't have an over-the-lip area whereas their new Series 2 does have lights over the lip area, which is my particular concern since I want to keep these lines at bay after having laser and spending that time, money and effort. I don't want my upper lip lines to come back, so that would be the only drawback, the size of this mask and the fact that it doesn't cover the lip."
One Year of RED LIGHT THERPY On My Mature, Over-50 Skin | Before & Afters
"I used the CurrentBody mask at the very beginning and then switched over to the Omnilux mask. Both of these provide the correct dose at the near infrared and infrared levels so I felt comfortable using each of these interchangeably. I chose to use the masks number one because they both give the correct dose for the anti-aging benefits that we're looking for. They're both super convenient and portable. The CurrentBody mask is a little bit smaller, it has fewer diodes, but it's smaller so if you have a smaller face you might prefer the CurrentBody mask."

"The CurrentBody LED mask uses red light to help stimulate collagen, improve tone and texture on the skin, and promote healing. For me personally, I found the design of the CurrentBody mask to be very very comfortable. It does deliver some really nice results. I've noticed some great benefits as far as skin texture and tone. It helps with dark marks and it particularly helps with healing, especially if you do suffer with breakouts. It really actually promotes healing. I think it's also a great preventative type of product to add into your routine if you have the funds and you know you're going to commit to it, preventative for that collagen stimulation and just overall the good preventative well-aging measures that we can take in skincare."

It's got four settings, four different colors: red, orange, yellow, green, and then a combined setting of all of them. The battery life is amazing. I've charged it one time and I can see a difference in my skin. I think I can see a big difference in the tone of my skin more than anything. These are dead popular just now and I can see why, but I love mine."

It's a 10-minute treatment three to five times a week, but most people I know use it five to seven because they just love love love the results. But this is the important thing: it's the only one I know that's got a little bit that goes under the chin. I am now convinced that this is probably for my generation the best LED mask on the market.
