"The only other thing I do very consistently is wear a red light helmet. There's very good data that red light therapy helps with androgenetic or female pattern hair loss, so I do it. I've been doing that for over 5 years, including through pregnancy and breastfeeding. I have both the iRestore helmet and the CurrentBody one. I just use whichever one is charged. They're both effective."

"The third one's a whopper. This thing is heavy. This is the CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet. If you are hair challenged, if you're post-menopausal and you're having issues with thinning hair, then this would be a great one for you."

"The CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet claims to increase hair thickness, density and fullness with ten minutes of daily use. It uses 120 LEDs with a wavelength CurrentBody describes inconsistently as 640 nm on the website and 660 nm in the handbook, and its irradiance of about 5 mw/cm2 on the head is on the lower end of the spectrum, with one outside test measuring it even lower at 3 mw/cm2. After six months of daily use she saw no real difference in her frontal hairline, a mixed result on her middle parting (less broadening in the back but more scalp showing in the front), and the biggest improvement on a thinning patch at her right temple, where there was more hair and it felt less fine. Overall she called it a mixed bag, seeing positive changes but only subtle ones and less than she had hoped for, possibly because of missed days, the device's low irradiance, and a surgery and bout of Covid during the test period that could have caused extra shedding. She found the helmet convenient and easy to stick to, but flagged that it is quite expensive at 786 euros, the plastic cracked when dropped since it only weighs about 1.5 kg, the bluetooth speakers felt like more of a gimmick than necessary and caught her hair, the side panel showing treatment duration can't be seen while wearing it, and there is no charge indicator so it can shut off mid session. She said whether it's worth the money depends: it's an option if you have age related thinning without significant hair loss and other treatments haven't worked for you, but topical Minoxidil is better value for money, and since she personally could not tolerate Minoxidil she ended up happy enough to keep using the helmet given the subtle results it gave her."

"This is the current body LED hair growth helmet, sent by CurrentBody Skin for review, using low level light therapy at the 660 nanometer wavelength to help thicken hair. Unlike random viral gadgets, it's built around wavelengths actually studied in the literature, with 120 LEDs and full scalp coverage, which matters for even light distribution on diffuse thinning. CurrentBody publishes clinical testing showing improvements in shedding, hair density, and hair growth measurements after 12 weeks of consistent use. It's rechargeable so you're not tied to an outlet, has soft cushions, connects via Bluetooth so you can listen to music during the 10 minute sessions, doesn't get hot on the scalp, stays snug when moving around, and has a side timer showing time left in the session. CurrentBody recommends 10 minutes a day for 16 weeks, and adherence and consistency matter most since people often quit after 3 to 4 weeks without seeing results. That said, hair loss treatment is rarely one miracle product fixing everything, so a helmet alone is probably not enough for significant androgenetic alopecia, strong hormonal drivers, nutritional deficiencies, or scarring alopecia. It doesn't give overnight results, but it's potentially useful for early thinning, diffuse scalp shedding, mild to moderate androgenetic alopecia, or as a non-drug adjunct, especially combined with treatments like minoxidil."

"I love LED therapy, and just look at the proof: these are all before and afters showing consistent use of the CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet. What you're seeing here is thicker looking hair, less visible thinning, and fuller coverage, which is exactly what this device is designed to target. A lot of hair growth products we see nowadays, serums, oils, shampoos, mostly work on the surface of the scalp. They can do some nice things, condition the hair, improve shine, sometimes support scalp health, but they don't actually reach the place where the hair growth starts, which is inside the follicle. That's where devices like this come in. The CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet uses red light wavelengths between 620 and 660 nanometers, which are the ranges most commonly studied for hair growth support. That light penetrates deeper into the scalp and stimulates the cells."

"One device that does this is the CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet. The CurrentBody helmet contains 120 LEDs that emit a spectrum of red light that research shows can optimally penetrate the scalp and stimulate hair follicles. This range of light has been shown to support hair growth and scalp health. The helmet comes in two different sizes, and many users see stronger, denser, healthier hair in about 12 weeks. In fact, one study showed a 123% increase in hair growth. You can also combine red light therapy with topical treatments, or you can use it on its own. And as you can see from these before and after results, the improvements can be impressive. The treatments are also incredibly convenient because you can do them at home in complete privacy. Wearing the helmet is easy and you can even multitask while using it. It's FDA cleared, HSA and FSA eligible."

"LED helmets do help thicken thinning hair. These helmets work by flooding your scalp with non-heat producing LEDs. The energy from these LEDs helps hair follicles enter a growth phase. The CurrentBody LED hair growth helmet uses two clinically proven wavelengths, 620 nm to calm surface inflammation and 660 nm to penetrate deeper, energizing hair follicles, increasing circulation, and stimulating growth. Most other helmets only use one wavelength. The CurrentBody helmet has 120 LEDs for full scalp coverage, and it comes in two sizes, so you'll get a perfect fit. One study showed that in just 12 weeks, users experienced a 123% increase in hair growth and a 26% increase in hair thickness. It's super easy to use: just 10 minutes a day and you can even connect it via Bluetooth to listen to your favorite music or podcast while you treat your scalp. It's FDA approved, HSA, FSA eligible, and it comes with a 60-day money back guarantee."

"I recently started using the CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet. This is my year of hair growth and I really want to see if I can grow more hair, denser, fuller hair, growing hair in areas that are a little bit more sparse, and this is something that I've been very consistent with. Sometimes I'll use this with the mask and the neck and deck, I have it all going at the same time, and this is also a 10-minute treatment, but then sometimes I feel like it's a bit too much, so I'll use this at night time when I'm watching TV or something. It's just something I like to do at night time more so than in my morning routine. You just turn it on, sit there, do what you want to do, and it turns off in 10 minutes. This works at different wavelengths to help stimulate the hair follicles."

RED LIGHT THERAPY HAIR GROWTH ROUTINE FOR FINE HAIR - EVERYTHING I'M DOING IN 2026
"It doesn't hurt, it's not heavy, it's actually very lightweight, and I'll watch Netflix, I'll write emails, I'll do whatever I need to do with this helmet on because it's not interfering with anything. I really love how there's no cord that I have to plug into the wall and just be stuck in one spot, so it's cordless and very lightweight and so easy to do. I'm very lazy when it comes to my hair, so this is just perfect, I just plop it on for 10 minutes and away I go. This is an investment, it is something to be consistent with and to have patience with, but I'm sure once we start to see those amazing results, none of us will want to stop using this. I just cannot wait to get my journey started with this helmet."

"First up is CurrentBody. Now, they have a ton of devices, but there is one at the tippy top of the list for me. It is the LED hair growth helmet. I have been using this device for about a year and a half, and I can honestly say I have new hair in areas that I've not treated with any other product. That's how I know this works, and this is the truth. Now, this is a very expensive product, but with my discount code, you get 20% off. That's about a savings of $150, which is huge in my opinion. I love this device, and I use it almost every day."

"When it comes to LED helmets, I do recommend the CurrentBody Skin LED Hair Growth Helmet because it is backed by clinical trials and science. First of all, it is FDA cleared, which means it's passed safety tests to be used at home. Can be used alone or to complement your current hair regrowth treatment, and it contains 122 red light LEDs to penetrate the scalp to stimulate hair follicles, encouraging thicker and healthier hair. Clinical trials have shown that 100% of the users experienced hair regrowth, with an average 33% increase in hair density over six months. Now certainly there's no shortage of LED devices for hair regrowth on the market, but they're not all created equal. Aside from the number of bulbs, the energy that is delivered also matters, and what sets CurrentBody apart is the energy that it delivers. It delivers three times more powerful light energy than some of the competitors, so it actually delivers 18 joules per centimeter squared of red light energy, while some competitors may only deliver six joules per centimeter squared. And for me personally, I love that it's a helmet that provides adequate coverage for my entire scalp, so you know that all the hair follicles on your scalp are being treated with an equal amount of energy, unlike some of the handheld devices."
