What the gurus are saying

This essence earns praise for delivering instant hydration with a notably watery texture that feels light on skin. Applied as a first step, it hydrates effectively without the weight that can feel uncomfortable in warm weather, making it a standout choice for anyone looking to add moisture without heaviness or occlusion. Both gurus who reviewed it were enthusiastic enough to repurchase.

"Literally it pumps out on your skin like water. But when you pat it onto your skin with the lipids and ceramides and the ingredients, it is very hydrating and it's hard to believe like water is hydrating, but this water is. So it's a great way to layer in hydration and you don't have to worry about the heaviness, product pilling, or just having bad reactions."

"Another brand I really love from Japan is Curel. They have a hydrating essence or toner. It's very watery, but when I use it as the first step, my skin just feels really hydrated. [...] For someone in the summertime, this can be a great way to add hydration without heaviness."

"I love this, and I'm going to use it all up and I'm going to buy it again because I love how it instantly hydrates my skin. But it's very watery and it comes in a pump. So you do that. You have to hold your hand, like here, because it shoots out, or if you're too close, it splashes everywhere. This would be so much better in, like, a mist bottle, in my opinion, just to mist over your face and then gently pat in. I have very sensitized and easily sensitive skin. It's not dry, it's oily."
