What the gurus are saying

The gurus found this moisturizer delivers real barrier-strengthening thanks to its ceramide content and hydrates well without feeling heavy in warm weather, though it does need a few minutes to fully absorb and settle. One expert felt impressed by how hard-hitting the formula proved despite initial hesitation about the texture. However, another found it reads slightly greasy and slippery, and flagged that those with acne-prone skin or anyone seeking a daytime moisturizer may want to test it first, since the thicker feel could feel too occlusive during the day for some.

"When I tested this out last year in the spring, it was actually kind of the perfect moisturizer for my skin at that time and it was starting to get into later spring and even in the summer, I was using this moisturizer and really really enjoying it. The occlusivity here is very light. I could use this in warm weather. This is more robust for fighting dehydration quite honestly just because of the occlusive content. We do have the ceramides in here and it will strengthen your skin barrier. This is actually a little bit more healing in my opinion. In my experience, this is definitely something that just delivers a little bit more of that skin barrier strengthening just because of the ceramide content in here. I also like that it hydrates your skin at the same time because it's really helping to soothe that dehydration."

"Give it a couple of minutes. It will fully settle, fully dry, fully absorb into the skin and then it's not sticky. It's not tacky. You'll still get a little bit of glow, but it's not like peeling up on you or anything like that once it's settled into the skin. I just feel that it needs a little bit more time than the moisturizer that you're probably used to, and I think that's just due to the humectant content in here being quite high. But otherwise I was won over by this. I didn't think I was going to like it just based on the feel alone, but there's something about this formula that's really hard-hitting. I was really impressed with this one and I do not regret buying it."

"It feels nice, just slightly greasy, not too shiny, and it feels hydrating, but to me it's not screaming as a morning skincare routine product. It's definitely on the thicker side. For beneficial ingredients, you've got ceramides, cholesterol, and panthenol for soothing, squalane, glycerin, vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid. If you have acne-prone skin, be warned and be careful. It's on the thicker side, so maybe during the winter this could be a morning moisturizer, but it just feels a little greasy. It's got a lot of slip to it, which can be a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm thinking this is going to be too greasy-feeling for a lot of daytime routines."
