Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizer.

"When I tested this out last year [...] in the spring, it was actually kind of the perfect moisturizer for my skin at that time and it was starting to get into later spring and even in the summer, I was using this moisturizer and really really enjoying it. The occlusivity here is very light. [...] I could use this in warm weather. [...] This is more robust for fighting dehydration quite honestly just because of the occlusive content. We do have the ceramides in here and it will strengthen your skin barrier. [...] This is actually a little bit more healing in my opinion. In my experience, this is definitely something that just delivers a little bit more of that skin barrier strengthening just because of the ceramide content in here. I also like that it hydrates your skin at the same time because [...] it's really helping to soothe that dehydration."

"The formulation here has a heavy focus on ceramides, hydrating content like panthenol and hyaluronic acid. It is still focused on hydrating the skin, moisturizing the skin, strengthening your skin barrier, and helping to seal everything in with some breathable [occlusivity]. It has the perfect texture for a face and body cream, a nice medium cream texture, but it's not overly buttery, oily, dense, or emollient. It's not really greasy. As you spread it across your skin, you'll feel the panthenol and the hyaluronic acid, but then it locks in with this skin conditioning, skin softening moisture at the top. It's not greasy, it's not shiny, it's not wet, it's not dewy. It actually absorbs and sinks into the skin really, really quickly."

"The COSRX cream was a pretty nice equal swap out if I'm feeling a little bit adventurous, if I'm wanting to change it up from what I've been doing for years and years and years. It's a really lovely face cream. The Cetaphil cream, it's not as ceramic heavy as the COSRX one is. And so if you're looking for a little bit more barrier strengthening than just like occlusive protection, you might like the COSRX a little bit better. It has that perfect unicorn texture when your skin is damp. It's not going to leave streaks. It's not going to leave your skin sticky and greasy. Like it's just awesome. My skin's so soft when I use this, too."

"This feels really breathable, really nice, refreshing, but not wet. There's a wetness on application, but that goes away. And it's not sticky either. So I actually find this to just be a little more comfortable. It's not really about weights necessarily. It's about that wetness. It has a lighter, hydrating wetness on application that then goes away a lot faster and it just feels a little bit more refreshing, a little lighter, a little bit more breathable. I will also point out this particular cream, there's no niacinamide in this one. And I know that that's been an issue for some of these barrier creams because while niacinamide does help support the skin barrier, it is also an ingredient that can sometimes cause some irritation for certain folks. Some folks experience irritation with niacinamide. Not uncommon to encounter this especially because when you're layering skin care you're getting a lot of niacinamide because it's in everything, right. So you're layering a lot of skin care up and you're getting a lot of niacinamide in one skincare routine over all of those products that can also kind of cause a little niacinamide overload for the skin as well. That's incredibly common and becoming even more common as it's just been added to every product under the sun. So I think it's actually kind of unique that this one does not."

"Give it a couple of minutes and it will fully settle, fully dry, fully absorb into the skin, and then it's not sticky, it's not tacky. You'll still get a little bit of glow, but it's not like peeling up on you or anything like that once it's settled into the skin. I just feel that it needs a little bit more time than the moisturizer that you're probably used to, and I think that's just due to the humectant content in here being quite high. But otherwise I was won over by this. I didn't think I was going to like it just on the feel alone, but there's something about this formula that's really hard-hitting. "If you have sensitive skin or a damaged or weak moisture barrier, I think that this is going to be a very appropriate formula. They really hit all the points that I personally really look for when it comes to restoring your skin barrier. Overall a really impressive release from COSRX. I think every claim for the most part that they've made about this product in my experience testing and using this, it's lived up to all of those claims. I'm going to rate this an eight out of 10. I have knocked off two points simply because one claim I feel it didn't live up to, and that's the claim that it's good for dry skin. I don't think it's going to be enough for dry skin in my personal opinion. But quite honestly I'm very impressed with this from the ingredients to the texture to the way that it's performed on my combination skin. I think you're going to be seeing me use this a lot in the coming months because it's really suiting my skin so well right now."
