What the gurus are saying

Weeks of daily application are non-negotiable with Compound W. Most people expect faster results and give up prematurely, but this treatment works if you stick with the regimen. The salicylic acid gradually softens warts by pulling water into them, and mechanical removal with a pumice stone or scraper then finishes the job. That patience is what separates success from failure.

"Over the counter there are a lot of remedies, and you can get things like Compound W. These are largely salicylic acid, and you put them on the wart daily, and it pulls water into the wart, then you use a pumice stone or scrape off the dead skin. In time these will work, but you have to be very persistent."

Summer Skincare Hacks You Need To Try
"Compound W definitely can help. [...] Most people buy this when they get a wart but they don't end up using it right and so they kind of give up on it prematurely. It's not a miracle by any means and you have to stick with it and you have to do the regimen that I outlined in that video. [...] Just using it here and there willy-nilly and expecting a miracle, yeah, not going to happen. Warts are a pain, they take a while to go away and then boom one day they're gone."

"Some people report good effects with wart treatments like Compound W that have a high percentage of salicylic acid in them, but we don't have many studies on salicylic acid alone for seborrheic keratosis."
