"The first product, Clinique Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel, I really was using that pretty much all summer. I do find it to be a little bit more effective. I do think it's a little bit more drying, which is why I reserve it for my combination dry skin for use in the summer time. When I apply this in the morning, if I use it consistently, it really helps to target my clogged pores as well as some of the occasional superficial acne that I would get. I love the fact that it is a gel that absorbs really quickly, and for me it has not pilled with my other serums like my vitamin C serum or dark spot correcting serum. I feel that it is effective, a little bit more on the drying side because of the formulation as well as ingredients. If you have more combination dry skin like me, you probably want to use it only once in the morning or once at night, once a day, and reserve it for the months that are a little bit more humid and hot, which for me I use it predominantly during the summer time. Ingredient wise, it contains salicylic acid as well as witch hazel, which are two ingredients that help to cut back oil and sea balm helps with shine. Salicylic acid is a great ingredient for improving clogged pores, blackheads and whiteheads, and definitely has some antimicrobial properties."
