"Chanel No. 5 is actually one of the closest perfumes according to my research. It has stayed the most similar to when it first launched. I think this smells so good. When I first smelled this back in the day when I was younger, I didn't like it. I feel like my taste was different at the time. Now that I'm in my 30s, this feels so classy to me and I really love it and I feel like I need to maybe one day treat myself to a bottle of No. 5 because I just feel like it's a right of passage almost to own Chanel No. 5."

"My relationship with Chanel No. 5 is very personal. It's basically the longest relationship of my life to be honest. I had to write a love letter to Chanel No. 5 for a piece I wrote for Stylist, and it was about why Chanel No. 5 is so great. It meant a lot to me, and I would have been really upset if somebody else had done it. It won, so yeah that meant a lot to me."

"I remember the last whiff of perfume as she went left the house. It was Winter's morning and I was going to school and she left the house with a waft of generally Chanel No. 5. I'd go, oh Mom's going to work, I'll go to school, everything's fine with the world."
