What the gurus are saying

This cleanser's creamy foam texture works well for both dry and oily skin without stripping, thanks to amino acid technology that sets it apart from typical foaming formulas. Dermatologists praise its ability to remove makeup and water-resistant sunscreen while leaving skin barrier intact, making it suitable as a single cleanser for those not wearing heavy makeup. Those with very stubborn or heavy sunscreen may want to consider it as part of a double-cleanse routine, though many find it sufficient on its own.

"This is the newest Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser, and it's great for those with dry sensitive skin. This one I say is probably better at removing makeup, and they use amino acid technology different from what we saw in the gentle skin cleanser. This is a newer one where you get this foamy creamy texture that's very hydrating. Usually we think of foaming cleansers as better for oily skin, but the foam here is actually okay for those with dry skin because they're using amino acid technology. So if you have makeup or water resistant sunscreen, you can consider this one. It still has glycerin, vitamin B3, and vitamin B5, but it also has prebiotic aloe which is very soothing. I really like that they came out with this nice cleanser, and a lot of my patients enjoy it."

"If you're using things like Cetaphil foaming cleansers you can satisfy oily skin with a product like this and also supplement your skin barrier and then you can really put nice serums on and you'll still be able to absorb it."

"The Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser comes in a big bottle with an easy to dispense pump. It's fragrance free, paraben free, hypoallergenic, and contains wonderful ingredients including niacinamide, B5, vitamin E, glycerin, and prebiotic aloe. What I really love about this is the formula, as the name implies it's creamy but yet foams nicely. When you wash it off you don't feel like your skin is super stripped, dry, or tight. For individuals who don't wear a lot of water-resistant sunscreen or makeup, this can be your one-stop shop of cleansing to use at night before you sleep. I find that for the majority of the times when I don't wear a lot of makeup and wear water-resistant sunscreen, this is enough to thoroughly remove everything. If you're looking for a good effective cleanser that's going to remove things that are easy to come off but won't leave your skin feeling super stripped, or you're just not into double cleansing but want a good gentle cleanser, this is a great option."
