What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise CeraVe sunscreen for its silicone formula, though a notable white cast divides opinion. Lighter skin tones may find it acceptable or even prefer it, but it reads more noticeably on deeper skin and may not be ideal for those tones. The shiny finish is a common complaint, though experts note most sunscreens have this effect and suggest matifying with powder.

"Any any silicon based sunscreen so Cella that's really really good"
~Mixed
"In this natural lighting you can get a good sense of the cast on the CeraVe sunscreen. I think a lot of people would be bothered by it but another handful of people would really like it. For me I find this is perfect, I don't mind this degree of cast. Now if you have a deeper skin tone this is going to be a lot more obvious, so may not be a good choice for you. A lot of people do not care for the shiny aspect. I think you're hard pressed to find a sunscreen that doesn't do this, but they're forming a film on the surface of the skin and light is going to reflect off of that. You can mattify this if you want with a mineral powder."
