What the gurus are saying

Most gurus found this a solid, gentle performer that brightens and hydrates without irritation, with caffeine that may help temporarily depuff and peptides that work to support skin texture and collagen. The 5% L-ascorbic acid form is pure and gentle enough for sensitive skin, and ceramides strengthen the barrier in this delicate zone. One reviewer felt the results were modest rather than dramatic, though the lightweight texture itself earned praise across the board; those wanting dramatic anti-aging effects may want to pair it with a retinol serum elsewhere on the face.

"I reviewed CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream several years ago and I really thought it was quite good. It's got niacinamide, good for dark spots. It's got caffeine, which for some of you is going to help depuff, for others, it'll do jack squat. And it's got Matrixyl 3000, two peptides. One lowers the inflammatory mediator IL6, interleukin 6. The other kind of looks like a little piece of your collagen, GHK. And those together may help ward off damage to the collagen that you have and help to provide a stimulus for new healthy collagen production. I genuinely found that product to lead to a nice brightening, hydrated, smoother appearance of the skin around the eyes."

"The CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream with caffeine and peptides is a really nice eye cream, and it's much less expensive in comparison to this and it doesn't have this annoying packaging."

"The skin renewing eye cream is actually pretty good because it has caffeine in it to temporarily depuff the under eye area, and it also has niacinamide and peptides."
*NEW* CeraVe Vitamin C Eye Cream | HOW DOES IT STACK UP?
"I have always really liked CeraVe Renewing eye cream, love it. I recall when I reviewed it initially a couple of years ago I said that it was honestly one of the best eye creams I'd ever used."
DEPUFFING EYE SERUM & SHOPPING AT WALMART
"This is a CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream. It has caffeine and a peptide and it is very good. It's about the same price as The Ordinary one but this is actually like a nice cream and it's easier to apply. If you want to use caffeine to brighten the under eye area, I think this is a really good product and it's easier to just get it right there on the skin and it doesn't end up transferring into your eyes later on in the day when you shower."

"This has 5% L-ascorbic acid, which is pure active form L-ascorbic acid. You just need a teeny little bit of it and you dab it under the eyes. I love this one, it's super gentle. I am a very sensitive skin person and this has never irritated my under eyes or my skin at all. It also contains ceramide, so it's going to help strengthen the skin barrier in this delicate area."

Reviewing $25 CeraVe Vitamin C Eye Cream! | The Budget Dermatologist
"This product has 5% L-ascorbic acid and a very transparent label showing exactly what is in it in terms of the type of vitamin C and the percentage, which is hard to find. I love the way it's packaged and I love the vehicle and the formulation that is in it, which is classic for CeraVe products, feels great under the skin. I can love this and recommend this for all skin types. I give this a 10 out of 10 for under eye products for anti-aging and dark circles under your eyes. If you are looking for a great budget pick under eye vitamin C eye product, it's this one."

"I've also really been enjoying the CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream. I love eye creams and eye serums, especially the ones that contain retinol and other active ingredients to treat the skin around the eyes for fine lines, crow's feet, crepiness, keeping the skin nice and smooth and bright. This one has peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, diamide, and caffeine. There's no retinol in here and there's no vitamin C that could possibly irritate your skin. Because this contains ingredients that work really nicely with retinol and other actives, I will use this sometimes on top of an eye serum that contains retinol."

"This is the CeraVe Skin Renewing Eye Cream and I'm gonna rate this with the like side eye flirty hey kind of emoji because that's how I feel about this product. Is it a solid smiley face no and is it a solid Holy Grail not necessarily but I'm interested, I'm intrigued, I'm flirting, I might want to see some more. I do like the ingredients list here, it's a peptide-driven eye cream. I like the texture because it's kind of a hybrid between like a gel and a cream. It's not like super duper hydrating, it's a little bit more cream with some gel. It's got a nice consistency that just kind of almost like a very light balmy kind of feel that just sinks into the skin with one little swipe. It's a really nice texture and it's not overwhelming. Results-wise nothing like spectacular benefits-wise, I'm not against it, I'm open to using this again. I really like the texture, like the experience. That's half of the battle with skincare is you want to have to use it."
