What the gurus are saying

The gurus found this lotion strikes a balance between exfoliation and hydration without triggering irritation, making it especially suited to rough, bumpy texture and keratosis pilaris on sensitive skin. The salicylic and lactic acids work to unclog follicles and smooth texture, while ceramides help maintain moisture and the fragrance-free formula keeps it gentle. Because it's lightweight and spreads easily, it works well for larger body areas, and those wanting both active exfoliation and comprehensive moisturizing in one product may find it makes more sense than a serum alone.

"The CeraVe SA Lotion is something that you could layer over thinner products under thicker products. If you want a product that is going to be a moisturizer and is going to deliver the salicylic acid, then the lotion makes perfect sense. A lot of serums certainly their backbone is moisturizing, but they're not necessarily as occlusive and they don't quite really comprehensively moisturize the skin in all cases."

"It does a really good job at exfoliating and hydrating at the same time without irritating the sensitive KP skin. Salicylic acid also helps unclog follicles reducing bumpy texture. This lotion is completely fragrance-free and non-irritating, making it really good for sensitive skin. The key ingredient is the salicylic acid, but it also contains a little bit of lactic acid and ceramides. It's a more lightweight alternative compared to the cream, and it's a little bit easier to spread especially if you're going to use it on large body surface areas like your whole arms and legs."
