SA Cream for Rough and Bumpy Skin.

"This is a very good product, everybody, for not a lot of money. An SA cream is a salicylic acid cream. It's made for rough and bumpy skin. Imagine what it does for smooth skin, right? It's an exfoliant. So I'll use it on those places where I've got keratosis polaris or I've got like little imperfections. I always put this on first because I want to get rid of the senescent cells, those zombie cells, to clear the way so they're not taking up the precious resources of the other skin care that I'm going to put on top. This doesn't really follow those same rules of layering skin care like you're dressing for the snow, like the lighter layers first. It's a combination of like a cream and a serum and it just kind of disappears and blends into your skin."

"Just any time you see alcohol as a solvent in the top sort of 10 ingredients in a product list, I would run away in the opposite direction. The damage actually continues even after you've worn it, even after you've washed it off. The damage doesn't end when you put alcohol on the skin. It really does damage your skin barrier. So it's a shame. I would avoid it. They could have very easily sidestepped it and used glycol instead."

"I love love love the CeraVe SA Cream for Rough and Bumpy Skin. I do particularly like the cream over the lotion. It does a really good job at exfoliating and hydrating at the same time without irritating the sensitive KP skin. Salicylic acid helps unclog follicles, reducing bumpy texture. This cream is completely fragrance-free and non-irritating, which makes it really good for sensitive skin. The key ingredient is the salicylic acid, but it also contains a little bit of lactic acid and of course the ceramides. If you don't like the consistency, the thickness, or the jar of the SA cream, it also comes in the SA lotion, which is a more lightweight alternative compared to the SA cream and a little bit easier to spread, especially if you're going to use it on large body surface areas like your whole arms and legs."

"I really like it. It's a salicylic acid based smoothing cream for dry rough and bumpy skin. If you get those bumpy little bumps, that you see with keratosis pilaris, salicylic acid washes in the shower and then using something like the SA smoothing cream is going to be really really useful. You've got urea, you've got glycerin, you've got cetyl alcohol. A lot of people talk about cetyl alcohol and say that's bad, but actually if you look and speak to most experienced people that formulate products there's nothing bad about cetyl alcohol. It's not harmful to skin. High up is niacinamide which is fantastic, but the main thing is it's a skin barrier. Because you've got an acid here, if you remember salicylic acid is quite drying, and the fact that you've got nice niacinamide in this really helps."
