"CeraVe PM lotion. Even though it's PM, it's great for AM and PM use. It's great if you have super dry skin, want something like a lotion that's going to be supportive because it's also oil free. It's not mattifying, but definitely feels like you're not wearing anything at all. Also contains ceramides and 4% niacinamide. That's lovely. So it's great for dry skin in the morning or like oily skin if you want to use something a little bit more nourishing to support your retinoids, whatever actives you're using in the evening."

You might need to do the sandwich method if you're quite dry and irritated from the start of using tretinoin because it's very potent. It's already retinoic acid ready to go into the cell and do its magic. So you might need to do the sandwich method where you apply a layer of CeraVe PM Lotion, a pea-sized amount of your tretinoin, and then another layer of moisturizer over it. But if you're an advanced user and you're doing well, just apply your pea-sized amount of your retinoid like tretinoin over your entire face when your skin is dry and then apply a moisturizer like CeraVe over it."

"I've gone back to the CeraVe PM lotion for my morning skincare routine. I love this, I've been using this for years. This is the PM version, which just means that it doesn't contain sunscreen.
