Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30.

"This was the winner in my 2020 video. So many people who wrote in afterwards said they tried it and it was their Holy Grail, magical perfect sunscreen. I actually gave it to a friend of mine who has super dry skin and she loves this sunscreen. I think it's the sunscreen that finally converted her over to wearing sunscreen every day. It does only come in one tint. The tint match my skin tone very well so people around my shade could wear it. It wore pretty well under makeup, which is another reason that I said it was the winner. But it did shorten the wear of makeup on me by a couple of hours. I wasn't in love with that one, but I know a lot of people with dry skin can love it. And the price point on that one, I mean it's from the drugstore, comes in a fairly good size tube. You're getting a lot of it, so it's a great bargain."

"This one from CeraVe is going to be the least expensive. This is a drugstore product. It comes in a couple of different shades. I think it comes in three shades. On me, it tends to stay a little bit damp feeling, a little bit oily feeling. It doesn't absorb in as well as it will for people with drier skin, but I have a friend with super dry skin who uses this every day as her everyday like go-to no makeup makeup look, and it looks beautiful on her skin. It doesn't feel wet or oily. This is going to be the most hydrating because it does have the CeraVe ceramides in there, which I love about it."

"For beginners or people with sensitive skin or people with really dry skin, I recommend the CeraVe Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30. This is a tinted mineral sunscreen. It's good for people with sensitive skin because the mineral sunscreens don't irritate your skin. You can use it right around your eyes and there's generally no irritation from mineral sunscreens. This one is also very hydrating. It contains ceramides, which you can replenish by applying them to the surface of your skin, so it's very hydrating, it's very soothing, and you can wear that all day every day with no problem."

"CeraVe has done a good job with other sunscreens like their sheer hydrating sunscreen, which is a hybrid mineral and chemical UV filter based sunscreen. They've also done a great job with their sheer tint SPF 30 that I use, and it's great for those with hyperpigmentation and melasma because you want iron oxides in your tinted sunscreen to block visible light. Their hydrating sheer sunscreen that's hybrid is great for face and body and it's water resistant. But their hydrating mineral sunscreens have traditionally been so disappointing, especially for those who are skin of color or even fair skin individuals had problems with the white cast. I was so excited to see this new sunscreen SPF 50 with the three essential ceramides. That's what makes CeraVe very special. Ceramides are great at repairing and restoring the skin barrier because ceramides are part of the glue that hold our skin cells together. And it also has niacinamide."

"I'm very impressed by CeraVe's hydrating mineral sunscreen. I use this quite a bit. It's SPF 30 with a sheer tint and it has iron oxides in it to help with blocking that visible light spectrum. Putting a small amount on, it's pretty thick. It's kind of a nice way to cover up some blemishes as well, but it fits my skin tone very well. I know some patients complain about looking a little gray or orange with some tinted sunscreens, and this one works well. In terms of tinted sunscreen it can actually be quite trial and error, so this is a nice one. I'd consider the tinted version if you have hyperpigmentation and your skin of color."

"My next recommendation here is the CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30. This is more of a budget friendly also mineral that hydrates while protecting the skin. It provides that really sheer neutral coverage that evens out the redness. It's completely fragrance free suitable for sensitive skin and comes in three different shades so you can pick the right one for you. I'm a big fan of mineral sunscreen especially if you suffer from melasma, this is a good one to try. The key ingredients here are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, so it has both mineral ingredients. These mineral filters block both UVA and UVB rays with minimal irritation to the skin. This also contains niacinamide which will help calm the skin and support the barrier and reduce some of the redness. And then ceramides which will help restore your skin's natural barrier, helping to keep the moisture in and harmful elements out. Another ingredient here is the hyaluronic acid, this is essential for maintaining skin's moisture balance and helps give skin smooth, plump texture."

"I'm going to use the CeraVe tinted face sunscreen SPF 30 for your daily moisturizer with sunscreen or just daily SPF in the morning. You need at least SPF 30. It retails for about $16, extremely affordable. It provides broad spectrum UV protection against UVA and UVB, but being that it's tinted you also get that visible light protection. It's non-comedogenic, lightweight, appropriate for all skin types, also acne-prone skin, and it comes in three different shades so you can really match it to exactly what you want and what fits your skin tone. Some key ingredients are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, these are mineral or inorganic filters they're very appropriate for any sensitive skin type, pregnancy, really appropriate for all skin types. Niacinamide in the sunscreen will calm through the skin, minimize some of the redness, and ceramides will help restore the natural skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid will also help draw the moisture to the skin, plump it, and give smooth appearance."

"I love this because number one it is elegant, lightweight but hydrating. It contains CeraVe's usual three essential ceramides along with niacinamide and you can use it on face and body. It's non-comedogenic which is suitable for acne-prone skin. It also is water resistant for 80 minutes so great to use during the summer as well. But overall I really just love the fact that it's lightweight, fast absorbing, easily spreadable so you can use it all over your body without that difficulty in applying and rubbing it in. It leaves no white cast and the finish is really nice without feeling heavy or sticky. If you really enjoy CeraVe's mineral sunscreens but find them leaving a little bit of a white cast then I think this would be a great alternative."

"Sunscreen is something non-negotiable, especially for an anti-aging routine. The CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen is broad spectrum SPF 30 and retails for about $116.99. It's a great sunscreen for a couple reasons. Number one, it contains pure mineral filters, so it's suitable for all skin types, even if you have sensitive skin. Two, it's tinted. Even though it's one shade, I find it to be fairly flattering for most skin tones. Iron oxide is what gives that tint, and iron oxide also helps to block visible light that may contribute to potentially skin aging, but for sure hyperpigmentation that we often see as part of aging skin. It also contains ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid, great ingredients that help to really soothe, nourish, and support the skin barrier. I love the fact that it is hydrating but not heavy and has a slight dewy finish, so really beautiful finish that is great to wear alone or under makeup."

"CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is a great alternative if you find that one to leave more of a white cast, or if you're looking for just a good mineral sunscreen to use on a daily basis. This one is going to be more hydrating, 100% pure mineral, also fragrance-free, suitable for sensitive skin, rosacea prone skin, as well as kids and babies. It's got a more moisturizing formula. A lot of mineral pure mineral sunscreens tend to feel a little more drying or cakey on the skin. This one doesn't, I think because of the other ingredients in it, so it's more hydrating. From my personal experience and feedback I've gotten from my patients, comparing this one to another, the CeraVe one is less likely to leave a white cast. I do find it a little bit more elegant. The downside is that it is not water resistant, so it's going to be more suitable for daily use. It's great if you even have acne prone skin. It's not comedogenic, but does leave a little bit more of a dewy finish. So, great to use alone or under makeup."

I don't like the packaging, I wish it were in a pump because when I squeeze the tube I feel like it's going to shoot out all over the place. This one has a hint of a sunscreen smell that is very similar to Coppertone sunscreens. This is a hybrid sunscreen so you get a little bit of a cast but honestly it's not bad."

"I saw CeraVe came out with new tints for their tinted hydrating mineral sunscreen and so I bought them. I've tried out the newer light sheer tint and it's not as orangey as the older formula. When you blend it in you start getting more of the orange reds because of the red iron oxides, which, you know, the iron oxides and tinted mineral sunscreens are a great addition because they help to protect against wavelengths of visible light that come from the sun that contribute to hyperpigmentation."

"This product goes on the skin a lot more easily in comparison to CeraVe AM, and I really appreciate that water resistant factor as someone living in a really humid climate. I do encourage everyone to use a water resistant formula when you're going to be outdoors participating in sport where you're sweating a lot or if you are doing any kind of water-based activities. I really think that overall it is an upgrade from CeraVe AM in terms of consistency, application, smoothness. The ingredient family is very similar, they're both hybrid sunscreens. The other difference is that CeraVe AM has one slightly different organic filter, I think it has avobenzone in it whereas this does not, so the filters are not identical but they're both hybrid sunscreens. I honestly think the coverage is very similar between the two. CeraVe AM is a bit less shiny in comparison to this. The shine, the dewiness, that never bothers me but I know it's something that a lot of you hate. Price varies a lot right now on Amazon it's only $13.97 for three ounces, and that's actually pretty good. A lot of drugstore sunscreens these days with inflation have gotten really expensive. I think that's a pretty good price point. Generally speaking, I think the going rate for this particular sunscreen is $18 for three ounces, which still isn't bad. There's a lot more behind this formula that warrants the price point."

"CeraVe came out with several new products in 2023, and one of them is their new hydrating sheer sunscreen. It's a hybrid sunscreen, so that means it has zinc in it as well as some organic filters. Because it's a hybrid sunscreen, it's not as casty as an all mineral sunscreen often can be. There's still a bit of a white cast, it's not a zero cast sunscreen, but it's much less noticeable on the skin in comparison to an all mineral formula. This product is SPF 30, it's water resistant, it's moisturizing, it's hydrating, it's a little bit on the shiny side, but as an everyday facial moisturizer it's a great option. It doesn't burn or sting around the eyes. It has niacinamide, which is anti-inflammatory, it helps with the moisture barrier, helps with hyperpigmentation. It also has, of course, ceramides, which are helpful for the moisture barrier. It's ordinarily $25, which I thought was too much to pay for this sunscreen on the regular, but it's on sale for $13.49. A lot of hybrid sunscreens go for much more than that, so this is a great option."

"I'm trying to make my way through the CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen. It has a nice lightweight kick of hydration in the morning but it absorbs pretty fast so I can put sunscreen on over it without a lot of effort."

"I'm coming in with CeraVe SPF 30. Now this is a chemical sunscreen, so a little different than the SPF 50 hybrid sunscreen I have been using. There's zero white cast with this one. The other one has a slight white cast, more prominent on deeper skin tones. This one, zero white cast. It's really nice. Over the years I have just shied away from a lot of mineral sunscreens because I find that in order for me to really vibe with a mineral sunscreen, it's got to be a really nice fluid consistency, and a lot of times they're just not, they're just too thick, too heavy, take a lot of time to put on."

"I've been using the original one off and on for years now and I love the tint but it can be a little on the orange side. CeraVe was one of the earliest available tinted mineral sunscreens that you could buy at the drugstore. The original shade was always a little orangey, but I do feel as though it does look a little less orangey now. The newer light sheer tint shade does not have that orange appearance, it is like the name applies, a light tint, probably a good option if you have a paler skin type and you're one who is always like I want a tinted sunscreen but they're all too orangey, they're too deep. I thought I wonder if this is just going to look like a white cast because it is a pretty light tint but there's no white cast."

"For my sunscreen today I'm going to use a CeraVe hydrating sheer sunscreen. I reviewed this a while ago. It's a hybrid sunscreen, it's water resistant. It's all right, but I want to use it up. The consistency is more of an almost a fluid, kind of like a cross between a fluid and a cream. Hybrid sunscreen just means zinc plus some organic, aka chemical filters. The cast I find is a lot less noticeable in comparison to an all mineral, but I also find that these hybrid sunscreens are a lot less likely to sting in comparison to the organic, aka chemical sunscreens. If you find that organic sunscreens, chemical sunscreens burn, sting, but you're put off by the heavy white cast of an all mineral sunscreen, try a hybrid sunscreen. It's a nice balance. It's not a zero cast though. If you have a deeper skin tone it will show up, but it is a lot less noticeable."

"This is the CeraVe Hydrating Sheer Sunscreen SPF 30, water resistant eighty minutes. It's a hybrid sunscreen with zinc oxide plus homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene. There is a bit of a white cast, as is typical of most hybrid sunscreens because of the zinc, but for me the cast is modest, not really noticeable. It works well under makeup, doesn't pill, and it's moisturizing and hydrating, it doesn't leave the skin feeling tight and dry. It has ceramides in it, which are good for improving the skin's moisture barrier, and niacinamide, which is great for the moisture barrier, is anti-inflammatory, an antioxidant, and helps with hyperpigmentation and redness."

"This one's been around for a while, and for me I love it, it looks fine on me and doesn't bother me whatsoever, but it can come off a bit orange depending on if you're a paler skin type. It has a Skin Barrier supporting formula with ceramides and hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, which does a lot for anti-redness, anti-hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, and it's great for acne prone skin. It's very comparable in price to the Eucerin one, it's good in terms of its spread on the skin, but it's not water resistant."

"This one is another really good option by CeraVe, the hydrating mineral sunscreen that's tinted. This one is SPF 30 and it has just mineral filters in it. This one is a little bit more similar in tint to the Australian Gold one and this rubs in nicely. I also think it's really hydrating and looks nice on the skin, obviously no white cast. I believe this only comes in one shade so you know if it doesn't happen to match your skin try one of the others and switch up the shade. This is really nice, it's hydrating. If you've used this one and find that it is drying for whatever reason for your skin then you can give this one a try. It is also affordable. This one is another really awesome product that I love."
