I have tried out many cleansers micellar waters cleansing oils cleansing bombs makeup removers and a true test is the mascara test. I was able to use just this cleanser in the shower get out of the shower and zero raccoon eyes. This is not a harsh cleanser. It's suitable for dry sensitive skin. It's suitable for eczema rosacea. What I like about it is that it has this oily emollient feel to it as it's gliding over your skin and then it works up into a gentle silky lather. It's not the least bit drying or irritating. It's very effective at getting makeup off without using an oil cleanser, although if you have heavy makeup this alone might not be enough. Like all of CeraVe's products, it has ceramides, it has hyaluronic acid, it has cholesterol. These are things that in a cleanser can be deposited behind on the skin and don't just rinse off right away, so they can help in making sure that your skin does not become overly dry or stripped with cleansing. I really like this, and I also used it a fair amount as a hand wash."
