"They've done such a great job improving on the SPF 30 hybrid AM version. That one was hybrid, but it still had a white cast. Still was a little thick and chalky, surprising for a hybrid sunscreen. But their AM SPF 50 has done wonders. It's very lightweight, much more of an elegant finish than their SPF 30 AM. That's a great one with niacinamide. Just know that that SPF 50 product, that AM product, is not water-resistant, and you want to go for a water-resistant sunscreen if you're going to go do water play or work out outside and get sweaty."

"If you want something ultra lightweight and your priority is sensitive skin, barrier repair, lower irritation risk while protecting yourself from UVA and UVB, this is a good choice. The AM SPF 50 has a little bit more of a white cast in my opinion. It's affordable and accessible, and it has the ingredients that I want. It's mineral based, but it also has ceramides to help repair the skin barrier as well as niacinamide to soothe, repair, and brighten the skin a bit and regulate sebum for patients with acne-prone skin. Because of the zinc oxide there is a bit of a white cast, but hybrid sunscreens with zinc plus some chemical filters tend to leave even less cast than strictly mineral sunscreens. If you have a deeper skin tone but you like zinc oxide sunscreens, try a hybrid sunscreen like this one. This formula is nice and lightweight for a sunscreen that has zinc oxide in it, which is one of the reasons I prefer hybrid sunscreens over mineral sunscreens that tend to be a lot thicker and heavier."

"Super lightweight, it's very moisturizing, it's very hydrating, not the least bit greasy. All sunscreens in my opinion do leave some degree of shine to the skin surface, but in the grand scheme of that shine, this is what I would classify as more of a demi matte finish. If you've ever used their SPF 30 but you want to bump up the sun protective factor, try this, it's great. I have nothing negative to say about this whatsoever. It's not water resistant, so if you're going to be doing outdoor-based activities or sports or swimming, then I would recommend choosing a water resistant sunscreen. But for an everyday facial moisturizer with a good sun protective factor, this is excellent. Easy to use around the eyes, gentle, sensitive skin friendly, oily skin friendly, dry skin friendly. It's great for any age group. I've been using this very regularly over many months now, not a single time did this pill on me. I've really enjoyed how easy this is to apply, how smooth it goes on the skin surface, and it does not leave that white cast. This is a really great daily facial moisturizer for heading into colder months. It addresses the needs of the barrier, which can need a little bit more TLC in the colder months."

But if you use it like a sunscreen you're good. Sunscreens are moisturizers, they're in a moisturizing base, lotion, cream, gel. This particular one is a hybrid sunscreen."
