What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this toner for its hydrating, soothing formula and noticeable plumping effect on skin. The milky texture is noted as lightweight yet substantive, sinking in without greasiness. Multiple reviewers highlight the ceramide complex and aquatide peptide as key barrier-support actives, though the cellular benefits of aquatide are acknowledged as theoretical. The consensus is that it delivers real comfort and hydration, particularly for sensitive or compromised skin.

"The Celamax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner, this is a repurchase for me. It has a peptide in it called Aquatide, which allegedly is going to do stuff with our autophagy recycling pathways. I love because it hugs the skin and then sinks in and quenches. Really nice formula. The Celamax one is a lot more hydrating, feels more like a quenching liquid with a little bit of support to it as far as there's a bit of texture and it really glides over and hugs the skin."

Summer Glow Up: My Ultimate Guide to Radiant Skin
"I'm using the Celamax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner. I've been using it for several months now. It's a fragrance-free toner with more of a milky consistency, but it has ceramides which are lipids naturally found in skin's outermost layer. Applying them to the skin can help get your barrier back on track, which is a big part of the goal of moisturizing and using all these hydrating products in the first place is to help your skin retain moisture better so it can naturally exfoliate more efficiently. So ultimately you get smoother, more hydrated, happier, healthier skin. I also like this product because it has this interesting peptide called aquatide. Aquatide allegedly helps to promote something called autophagy, which is a cellular pathway wherein basically cells recycle old damaged organelles as a way for repairing, healing, and recovery. So in theory it may work that way but take that with a grain of salt."

"This is the Celamax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner. I've repurchased this because I really like it. It's a milky toner. It's very hydrating, lightweight, comfortable. I see a visible improvement in skin plumpness using it. It calms my skin. It has a peptide in it, aquatide, which allegedly works to kick off and modulate autophagy, a cellular recycling pathway. It literally means self-eating. It's important for cellular renewal, healing, repair, recovery."

"Celamax is a great brand. Their entire focus is on barrier support for sensitive and complicated skin, so a lot of their formulas are very much geared towards helping problematic, acne-prone skin. The texture is beautifully milky and it has this bounciness to it that just makes my skin so happy. I find this has the lightness, but it's actually really quite moisturizing. It's more substantial than just your average hydrating toner; it does more. This has five different types of ceramides as well as phytoestazine and cholesterol, making that beautiful trifecta for barrier support and preventing transepidermal water loss. You really do feel like this holds everything in, but it's so soothing, so comforting, and it is intensely hydrating without being greasy. It's super gentle and there's no scent whatsoever."
