What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the stable vitamin C form and appreciate the inclusion of niacinamide and sunflower seed oil, noting the affordable price point. However, there's skepticism about the vitamin C's actual efficacy at producing visible results. The consensus leans cautiously positive for use in a layered routine, though some feel it performs more as a niacinamide serum and wouldn't repurchase specifically for the vitamin C component.

"This one is an ethylated vitamin C derivative not ascorbic acid so one can argue that this is more stable and penetrates deeper into the skin than ascorbic acid. I like that it has niacinamide and sunflower seed oil. They use sunflower seed oil in their moisturizing cream which I love, great for conditioning the skin and is very moisturizing. This is a nice $20 vitamin C serum. Just three to four drops for your face, couple more drops for your neck or décolletage area, you can even put on the back of your hands if you are worried about photoaging. Studies have shown that vitamin C serums can reverse photoaging. If it does go deeper into the skin and stays stable it may influence collagen production and help with fine lines and wrinkles as well."

"I like to call this a niacinamide serum with a stable form of vitamin C of questionable efficacy. I've been using it as the first step of my nighttime skincare routine after I get out of the shower when my skin's still a little bit damp. I've been putting this on my face and neck and then I put other products over it. I've been liking that combination. But I would not repurchase this per se. It's not a bad product. I've actually enjoyed using it."
