What the gurus are saying

Gurus praise the texture and performance, describing it as buttery and effortless to rinse. However, the consensus splits sharply on suitability: it's recommended for dry and eczema-prone skin types due to niacinamide and ceramides, but flagged as problematic for oily and acne-prone skin due to comedogenic ingredients. The formulation's target demographic of teens conflicts with its ingredient profile for this audience.

"It's got myristic acid, which is three out of five on the comedogenic scale. You want to avoid this if you have oily, acne prone skin. And the problem is this whole range has been made for teens and tweens who, guess what, tend to have more oily acne prone skin. So this isn't making much sense. The positives of this product is it's got niacinamide and ceramides. So what I would say is I actually really love this product if you have very dry skin or if you have eczema. But if you have oily, acne prone skin and you're a teenager, then this is one to avoid."

"It smells really good. It's like buttery soft, like it's gliding over the skin. It emulsified and kind of turned into that whitey milky fluid that rinsed away so effortlessly and so easily. It's a really, really nice cleansing balm. I do much prefer the texture, to be honest with you, rather than that plasticky feeling balmy texture. I do think it's going to be one of my preferred cleansing balms."
