What the gurus are saying

One expert praised its luxurious texture, noting it melts smoothly and emulsifies into a milky rinse without residue. However, another flagged that the formula contains myristic acid, which can trigger breakouts in those with oily or acne-prone skin, and cautioned that this range targets teens and tweens who typically have exactly that skin type. The same expert recommends it for very dry skin or eczema instead.

"It's got myristic acid, which is three out of five on the comedogenic scale. You want to avoid this if you have oily, acne prone skin. And the problem is this whole range has been made for teens and tweens who, guess what, tend to have more oily acne prone skin. So this isn't making much sense. The positives of this product is it's got niacinamide and ceramides. So what I would say is I actually really love this product if you have very dry skin or if you have eczema. But if you have oily, acne prone skin and you're a teenager, then this is one to avoid."

"It smells really good. It's like buttery soft, like it's gliding over the skin. It emulsified and kind of turned into that whitey milky fluid that rinsed away so effortlessly and so easily. It's a really, really nice cleansing balm. I do much prefer the texture, to be honest with you, rather than that plasticky feeling balmy texture. I do think it's going to be one of my preferred cleansing balms."
