What the gurus are saying

Gurus split on effectiveness. One praised the hydrating ingredients and gentle profile, but the consensus concern is pH: multiple testers found it too high (around 5) for exfoliating acids to function properly, which sits above the ideal 3-4 range. The result is a serum too gentle to deliver visible results, undermining its key promise, and marking a rare miss for a typically solid brand.

"Phytic acid is an antioxidant, lactic acid is hydrating and good for those of you who have rough and bumpy skin. This also has ceramides, which are good for the moisture barrier. Moonwalk is a gentle exfoliating serum."

"For what this promises it promises to soften skin for delicate exfoliation improve the look of congested pores hyperpigmentation patches of uneven skin after just one night it basically doesn't deliver on any of those really. It's delicate because the pH is off so they've got that going for them, almost nothing will work in one night, maybe a very strong peel that you could do in a dermatologist office might work in one night but this definitely doesn't. I didn't really notice benefits."

"I pH tested this first with pH strips, and this is showing that the pH is high on this one. It's not really in the exfoliating range, it's right around five, and for most of these exfoliants you want it between three and four. This just doesn't do that. It's just too high. A lot of those exfoliants aren't going to function as exfoliants when the pH is too high. This is showing exactly what the other pH test strip showed, it's too high to really function as we're hoping it to do, which is kind of a bummer because Bubble typically they've been doing a pretty good job with their products. They're nice and typically very efficient and they typically do what they promise, so having this one be at the pH that it is, it's kind of a bummer. The exfoliants aren't really doing much exfoliating, which is probably why this is so gentle."
