What the gurus are saying

Some studies suggest BPC-157 may help with knee pain and muscle injury when used alongside other recovery tools like proper nutrition and sleep, though the evidence remains limited. The critical thing to know: a subset of people report significant anxiety or neurological symptoms after starting it, so those trying it should watch carefully for any new anxiety or unusual symptoms in the first days and be willing to stop immediately if they notice a change. Starting slowly and monitoring how you feel is essential, as the faster someone stops if problems emerge, the better.

"There's a clinical trial going on in China for some muscle injury. There's also another small study that was done here in the US by a physician where he injected BPC into patients' knees who were complaining of knee pain and they reported improvement of pain. I personally have used BPC on myself. I use it very intentionally, very carefully. The combination of BPC-157 with TB-4, or sometimes the synthetic TB-500, which is another healing peptide that helps with how wounds close, and then GHK-Cu, the copper peptide, which is very well studied in skin. This is a tool, but it's not going to replace eating really well, sleeping, recovering, or resting. You have to do the hyperbaric, the red light, all the things."

"BPC-157 helps to balance the dopaminergic, serotonergic, and GABAergic systems of the brain, so it helps and has a balancing effect on neurotransmitters. However, there is a small portion of people that can have quite severe reactions to BPC-157 in terms of anxiety and all kinds of weird symptoms like neurological symptoms. For that reason, you have to be cautious and very mindful when you're introducing something like that into your body. You really have to tap into yourself and how you're feeling because if you wake up the next morning with severe anxiety that you didn't have the day before, you have to be open to the possibility that it is this new thing that you've introduced into your body. What I've seen is the faster you stop, the better off you are. Gritting your teeth and musing your way through and just continuing to use it is a bad idea. There are enough people I've heard of now who've had an issue that I think it's worth mentioning so that people understand that it can happen."
