I like the fact that they had multiple different tint shades so no matter what your skin tone there should be an option that you can make work for you. Most of the reviews though have been very subpar and my own experience with it is it just balled up and peeled on the skin so bad you couldn't lay it on top to get more coverage, you couldn't reapply it, it just didn't sit right. And the tint is so sheer it might as well not exist. The tint is so sheer it might as well not exist and yet somehow it still manages to be a little bit ashy and a bit white casty on the skin. In summer, I sometimes do not feel the need to use a moisturizer underneath this, it gets me to where I need to go. In winter, as things get drier, yes, you can use a moisturizer underneath it. It is great for soothing your skin, reducing inflammation, and helping with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation because it has not only niacinamide in it, it also has chamomile extract. Everything I love about it is glycerin based. The filters in it are international filters, there's Avobenzone, Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, as well as Isotropol, and this does offer a great UVA protective range. It's a hybrid of both chemical and physical sunscreens, so it's a great one. I absolutely love it. I think you guys should look into it, and it is relatively cheap and easy to get."

This also has green tea extract as well as niacinamide, but its skin-soothing ingredients also contain some extra goodies like ginseng extract as well as rice ferment. So I think this Beauty of Joseon one leans more heavily into traditional K-beauty, the traditional Asian medicine ingredients. Those are equally as good at skin soothing, calming, also great for skin barrier repair. So I think this is another wonderful choice if you are more interested in exploring some of those more traditional ingredients. "This is a Korean chemical sunscreen and I know people don't like chemical sunscreens but I'm telling you guys even the most sensitive skin can wear this. It has rice and grain fermented extracts that are rich in vitamins C and E, it contains niacinamide, it has amino acids, minerals, glycerin. But what I love so much about this is the hydration levels that it gives my skin. SPFs can be that kind of mandatory phase but if you can find one that leaves your skin feeling and looking the way that you want, you are onto a winner. For me this kind of gives me that glowy, that sort of hydrated look which is what I'm always forever chasing. The thing is I really layer up my SPF, I throw a ton of the stuff on, I do a very thick layer and then I go in and do another thick layer and everything just soaks in and it just leaves me looking very healthy. A lot of times I don't wear makeup at all and I don't feel that I need it and I'm getting the hydration levels that I need plus flawless under makeup. It's just perfection. If you have dehydrated skin, drier skin, this is going to be really good."

"I love my Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. This is a Korean sunscreen, not the American version. The reason I like Korean sunscreens so much is one, they have advanced UVA filters. So filters that we don't have access to in the United States that are superior and if you deal with hyperpigmentation, you are going to be more sensitive to UV than your average person. The other reason I like these products is a lot of Korean skincare routines are like 10 steps long. And so they've designed their sunscreen to layer well over a lot of products and not feel heavy. What I will do with this is I will take one finger length, I will apply it, and then I will take a second finger length and apply it. And the reason I do it in two layers is because I find that if you do two at once, you're just doing a lot of smearing. And I feel like a lot of it ends up on like your hands or just like mushed around. And so I feel like you get a much better coating when you go in with two layers."

"Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++ is something I want to talk about because of the way it sits under makeup and the way it goes on the skin. It almost disappears on application. It's not sticky or tacky. There's no white cast from it at all. This makes it the perfect prep for makeup. You can literally just use this as your moisturizer and go on top with your foundation. It works on oily skin, dry skin, dehydrated skin. You just need a good amount on each part of your face, break it down to forehead, cheeks, nose, and then tap that into the skin and your foundation is going to sit like a dream on top. There's also a ton of soothing ingredients and antioxidants in this sunscreen. So if your skin is quite sensitive, if sunscreens kind of irritate your skin, this is going to be a great option for you to go for. It's so lightweight. I can't even feel it. Sometimes sunscreens give you a warm feeling on the face. I can't even feel it. My dehydrated areas are smooth. My oily areas don't feel over prepped or greasy in any way."

"I have already raved about the Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics so many times but I'm going to quickly run through it in case for those of you who are new to Beauty of Joseon. This is possibly the most raved about sunscreen online at the moment and it is my favorite sunscreen that I've tried so far. It is a Korean sunscreen that's not approved in other countries as far as I know. It is pretty lightweight but on the more moisturizing side which I have personally really appreciated. My skin is sort of oily combination but it has been drying out a bit because I've been using a lot more retinoids which are a bit drying and I've also had some hormonal changes thanks to dealing with endometriosis. The texture is really beautifully smooth and buttery. It's made by one of Korean's top sunscreen manufacturers. There is a tiny bit of white cast when I first apply it but it goes away once I leave it for about 10 minutes. The downside of the sunscreen is that because it is so popular there's been quite a few fakes floating around like on Amazon so if you are planning to buy this I highly recommend buying it from an official retailer like Stylo Korean."
