"This clay mask has kaolin clay, but it also has adzuki bean powder, hence the red bean part of the name, which helps to gently exfoliate. It's got these little particles in it, so this is a good product to use if you have oily skin with rough texture and you're looking for a little bit of mechanical exfoliation, but not a product where you're going to basically be sanding away at your skin. This is a great option. As the clay absorbs the oil it can help minimize the appearance of the pore opening as well, so that's kind of the marketing around that. It also has glycerin, so it's very hydrating and moisturizing. It has some fruit extracts in it, so it has a bit of a smoothie aroma if you will, but it does not have any fragrance."

Clays help to absorb some oil from the surface of the skin and from within the pore, and doing this helps cut down on shine for the day. It's free of fragrance and it's actually kind of fun to use if you're someone who likes to do clay masks. It clumps up so you have to add it little by little, and it's thicker so it's better to spread with your fingers instead of a spatula.
