"My number nine pick is the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick. I really like it. I think what makes it unique and why it's selling so well is because it claims to be matte and it delivers on that promise. So many sunscreens are very dewy, very shiny. It's really hard to find something that doesn't have too much of a finish or is actually matte, and I think that this really does the trick. Sun sticks I like, I think they're very handy for reapplication. They're great for going over makeup."

When it was first released I gave it a very favorable positive review, especially because I feel like there's not that many matte sunscreens on the K Beauty market. I think that this is unique in that it claims that it's matte and it actually does deliver on a matness to this, there's not really a shininess, which is great. I do also feel like this sidesteps the pitfalls that many sun sticks fall into where they can get a little waxy, they can get a little balmy and a little thick on the skin, and while that can be good it also just cannot feel cute. "This product is the only one that I can comfortably apply on my face because it doesn't give me that like lip balm feel all over my face. It actually feels like there's no shininess or glow to it because this is also made for oily skin in mind. It gives that like beautiful kind of powdery finish but it's very comfortable on your skin. So I've been really enjoying this. During the development process I was like I need it more matte and they're like you have oil soluble actives in here that are making it oilier so we took those out. There's a lot of powder mattifiers in there but if you have deeper skin those powder mattifiers can leave a white cast if you don't rub it in afterwards and part of the incentive of a sunstick is you don't have to rub it necessarily so that is something to note. It's not the most white cast free on very deep skin for those who are worried about that."

I am an oily babe, look at how this cuts down the grease on my cheeks, look at how this literally cuts down the grease on my nose. If you're dry you're going to hate this, but if you loved the Purple Protector you are going to love this. If you're oily this is like a dream come true, forget blotting sheets, you don't need blotting sheets anymore, you just swipe this on.
