"I just started using this sunscreen this year. One of my favorite hydrating sunscreens. I like the texture of this one. For those who have dry, dehydrated skin, this is a little thicker texture, but still very lightweight, but not watery. It goes on like a thicker cream, but it just blends in so well. If you have dry, dehydrated skin, it's going to trap in all that moisture. And if you had hyaluronic acid serum on first and then put this right over it, it will do a great job as being like a moisturizer and a sunscreen at the same time. There's no greasy finish to it. And this layers well with makeup. And you can see there's no white cast with this. This does have chemical UV filters."

"This is their matte sunstick. Mugwort has been quite popular in the K Beauty world and these botanical ingredients in here have so far been pretty gentle for a lot of my patients so it's been good, but I always worry about botanical ingredients in sunscreens causing allergic contact dermatitis. This one's been really nice though. It has a kind of a grain tint, has silica, so if you have oily skin it helps pick up the excess oil and it rubs in really nice. So this has been a nice portable sunstick if you don't want the white cast."

"For reapplication I wanted to mention the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick. A lot of sun sticks we talk about in the US have a white cast, this one you can reapply without any white cast. It has cooling ingredients, antioxidants, it's soothing, goes on with a matte finish. It's a great stick, very portable. I've taken this on my trips, I brought it to Mexico and it's just easy to apply a stick sunscreen to your skin because if your hands are dirty, say I'm playing golf, I don't want to use my dirty hands to apply a cream on my face, the stick is reliable. When you apply it though, make sure to do four to five swipes in a particular area before moving on because we can't quantify an appropriate amount of sunscreen from your stick as well as say a cream. You need a half teaspoon for your face, ears and neck, that's more quantifiable versus a stick."

I think what makes it unique and why it's selling so well is because it claims to be matte and it delivers on that promise. "I really like this. When it was first released I gave it a very favorable positive review, especially because I feel like there's not that many matte sunscreens on the K Beauty market. I think this is unique in that it claims that it's matte and it actually does deliver on a matness to this. There's not really a shininess, which is great. "This is a really great mattifying primer that you can layer underneath your makeup. It's made with chemical UV filters, and it literally blurs out your pores. You wouldn't need a primer if you apply this. It's definitely going to be a staple in summer for me. I would be traveling with this everywhere, I would apply this from head to toe. The only downside is that it only has 18 grams, which is 0.63 ounces, so it's definitely not a generous amount, but still I think it's a really really great product. I love the mugwort, it's so amazing for just calming your skin. It's a very Korean traditional ingredient. It also has turmeric extract and Camellia for moisturizing, and silica for just mattifying your skin, so definitely for oily girls."

"One beef that I have with any sunstick that I've tried is they are very oily, they tend to be almost like a lip balm on your face. But this product is the only one that I can comfortably apply on my face because it doesn't give me that like lip baliness all over my face. It actually feels like there's no shininess or glow to it because this is also made for oily skin in mind. It gives that beautiful kind of powdery finish but it's very comfortable on your skin. I've been really enjoying this. During the development process I was like I need it more matte and they're like you have oil soluble actives in here that are making it oilier so we took those out. There's a lot of powder mattifiers in there but if you have deeper skin those powder mattifiers can leave a white cast if you don't rub it in afterwards. And part of the incentive of a sunstick is you don't have to rub it necessarily, so that is something to note. It's not the most white cast free on very deep skin."

It feels like a solid soap though, which isn't a good point for oily skin because it can feel too oily. It's easy and you'll want to reapply it, especially on the body."

It's made for oily skin, it's their matte sunstick, and you can't really feel it on your skin, but if you have dry skin it feels like you're rubbing hard soap on your face. If you're oily this is like a dream come true, forget blotting sheets, like you don't need blotting sheets anymore, you just swipe this on. It has mugwort and chamelia, both of those are great antioxidants. Mugwort is actually used in Korea for blemish prone skin. It's a good antioxidant and at the very best it's wonderful for blemishes and hormone balance if you want to believe that."

"Their matte sunstick has really good sunscreen active ingredients for broadspectrum UV protection. Avobenzone, which is excellent for UVA protection, and it has Octinoxate and Avobenzone T150. There's no white cast with this. It has Centella, which is anti-inflammatory, turmeric root extract also is anti-inflammatory, hyaluronic acid and glycerin are hydrating, and panthenol is very moisturizing. These sunscreen sticks are kind of handy for using as an SPF lip balm. I ended up using this one up as my SPF lip balm, using it a lot on my lips."

"I've never really been a stick sunscreen person until I started using this product because my experience with stick sunscreens has always been very greasy, white cast heavy, not necessarily the most pleasant to use and always making my skin super oily. But this product is magic in a stick. The first reason is that it's a Korean sunscreen which uses Korean sunscreen filters which are not yet permitted in sunscreen products in the USA but are so much better than anything we have here because it doesn't create a white cast on the skin at all, which means if you have a darker skin tone, a deeper complexion, this product is great for you.
