"Another serum if you're looking for an actual brightening serum with centella is the one from Beauty of Joseon, their Light On Serum that contains centella and vitamin C, and this vitamin C is an ethyl vitamin C, so a vitamin C derivative that has mostly brightening properties along with centella. That is, I think, 68% centella extract. Another really nice creamy but hydrating serum, great to use for those who are looking for a brightening product that is more gentle to help even out uneven skin tone."

"You can use this morning and night. It is not harsh or stripping on the skin, but it really does help to encourage the pimples and the breakouts to calm down, to slowly flatten out, and to help over time boost your anti-acne routines. They're not using the pure form of vitamin C, L-ascorbic acid. They're actually using a derivative known as 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid. This derivative is great because it gives you a lot of the same benefits as vitamin C, which is brightening and antioxidant care and a little bit of that well-aging and collagen stimulation. If you're particularly sensitive skin, if vitamin C pure ascorbic acid has not worked for you in the past or you're just looking for a gentler type of product, this would be the way to go with the derivatives because it has to take an additional step to convert on the skin, and that conversion process is what makes it a little bit more gentle and a little bit more tolerable for sensitive skin."
