"This is the salicylic acid serum and I actually mix this in with my moisturizer. This is so much fun, it is so wonderful and so exfoliating without being overly stripping. I love the transparency on here because they literally say there's no fragrances, there's no essential oils, and they give you the pH of the product which is specifically 3.2 to 4.0, which as salicylic acid you want it to be a lower pH because that acid is going to penetrate. In addition to salicylic acid this also has EGCG and oligopeptide 10. EGCG is what's found in green tea and this is such a wonderful antioxidant. I would recommend using this at night since it is only 0.2 percent salicylic acid, so you could use this during the day but the antioxidant benefit in here is literally helping your skin rebuild better. For people who have acne or breakouts there's usually a lot of inflammation in the skin that's what causes whiteheads to pop up. Having antioxidants or having ingredients that can help to quell that and be anti-inflammatory are so important especially for acne prone skin. If you just had blackheads this is still great for blackheads, salicylic acid is one of my favorite ingredients to remove those little black marks, those little dots. If you're struggling with the actual kind of raised acne bumps that are kind of red and tender or have pus in them this is a slam dunk. The oligopeptide 10 is actually considered an anti-acne ingredient and peptides are strings of amino acids that are strung together into a polypeptide chain, and this one specifically is antibacterial so it actually kills the acne bacteria. You can layer this under a moisturizer or you can mix this in with your moisturizer which is personally what I do. I absolutely love this serum."
